I'm still for the red and polished look.

i guess black with the red stripe is the new fad.

i say at least be a little different and do both red and silver on the lip. looks nicer to me anyway with both.

Definitely do the red lip! Just make sure and take your time masking off for it and you'll be very happy. Should look pretty sicko, be sure to post pics when you're done!

How would u go about doing it though? Scuff with sandpaper, primer, paint, clearcoat?
Im curious because I'm planning on painting my machined lip black

^I'm doing it right now, man am I light headed!

I'm done sanding and painting the 3 now on to the last wheel! So far it looks good, couple of flaws with the tape, but I'll fix it later. I have to let them dry over night and tomorrow will be taping them all over again and doing the pinstripe.

I used 220 grit sandpaper, 400 to smooth out, adhesion promoter, VHT wheel paint. I also will be clear coating with dupli-color and wetsanding with 2000

couple of my freinds did this with like half inch red painters tape and made it look reaaaally smooth with some time.

i say buy the tape and do it on a wheel and see what u think about it. but i think ur car is a clean as **** as it is.

^I sure hope so, haven't seen anyone where I live with them yet, so hopefully I will stay unique. I remember when there were less than a handful of people around here with black wheels!
