Default Sportmax 962's - 18's x ?

Im currently looking to purchase some Sportmax 962's in Bronze. I'm just debating on width because of course, I'm looking for a nice size lip. Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, tire size? whats everyone's opinion, keep in mind, im dropped on Tein S-Tech's

You will not get (9 times outta 10) a nice fat lip on an 18" rim from that particular brand. Websites use 19" and up rims in their pics to make you think you're getting a nice lip on your 17" and 18" rims.

Since you're on S-Techs, you should go with 7.5" on the width. A lot also depends on your driving habits and the road conditions in your area. If your roads are well taken care of, you could possibly get 8.5" rims. On a side note, remember that the tC naturally sits lower in the front than in the rear. So with an 8.5" rim you might incur some rubbing in the front. (ex. turning, dips in the street.)

I would stick with a 225/40 tire size for 3 reasons;
1. They are cheaper than 235/40 tires. Why pay extra $$$ for a wider tire?
2. They almost look identical cosmetically to 235/40 tires.
3. Most tire shops have 225/40s readily available. 235/40s will be a little tougher to find. (Excluding the internet. )

I think they would look good. As you know, you CAN fit 9.5's on the tC. We've seen it a few times. 18x9.5's out back and 18x8's in the front would be the shizznit!

Just to be on the safe side, I wouldn't go with anything larger than 8.5". I just got back from taking pics of my tC. Here's how an 18x8.5 would look...

Good luck!
