Its actually semi-gloss i guess. I did a buddies rims in flat black and they look sick. However it didn't flow well on my car so I added clear. Its flat black with some very light coats of clear and alot of 2000 grit sanding to get it even.

Do you have any pics of the flat black rims? I want to see if they would go good with BSP or if I should just go straight black.

I used duplicolor black for wheels/rims. it has a picture of a rim on the spray can... you can find it at most automotive stores... this is how mine turned out.

just sand it down till its smooth and scuffed up so that he prime & paint will stick. as far as paint goes it all depends I used duplicolor wheel paint for the set I have now.

I just ordered montana paint last week for painting my wheels over. montana is a graffiti based spray paint company, which means they don't water down there paint like krylon/rustoleum etc.

and with the spray paint they come with fatcaps so you get a large area done at a time

So i was gonna paint my super 7's lime green since i havent seen it on my wheels yet and kinda like to be different here, but would it be better to use the Duplicolor engine enamal green or go to home depot and use their flourescent paint?? im gonna do this within the next couple days.

I wouldnt recommend the fat caps dude... montana has less pressure than rusto/krylon, but youll still run the risk of more splatter/drips with fats. You should think about trying a smaller style tip that has a softer spray.

yeah dripping is inevitable with those cans and the real big fat caps they usually come with tend to clog and just be real messy.

I actually jus bought NYC fat caps to avoid drips and not use the big 12" wide stream of the normal fat cap. if that doesn't work im just going to take the cap off a regular krylon/rusto and make it into a make shift fat cap like back in the day. I jus have to see how to do so bc if I drip on the rim im going to be tight lol

was originally gonna go with the pink dot. but wayy to fat and too much waste of paint for the wheel.

but am now considering the medium, but i think the NY fat cap will do, its soft and not so overpowering with paint for light coats for the wheel.

not me but an example of the ny cap

not to big, but not to thing.

those cans have lower pressure than your normal rusto or krylon, so unless yer using a fat cap or holding the can crazy close to ur rim, you oughta be fine.

NY Thin FTW.
