yeah the color i did was the duplicolor dark blue, t150 (i think), with like 4 or 5 coats of clear. haha i was going for a mag blue, but it came out a little darker, which is cool.

Nice wheels! All of you!

But, question: How does the paint hold up to washes and normal wear? I don't want to go the powdercoat route. Rattle can is FTW! But after sanding and many coats of paint and clear coat will the paint keep its good looks?

If you prep and paint the rims right they should hold up like any other paint. You have to take care of them just like any other painted items

u have to stay on it, chips are inevitable from road debris, car washes scratch the lip of the rim. but normal cleaning/washing they hold up fine, jus the car wash rail scratched my lip but i fixed it

I always was mine by hand. Car washes put 2 many scratches into the paint.

indeed to that too, not having time or a driveway to wash my car is out of the question (which i hate) living in NYC sux bc of that.

i did black more than a year ago and i admit i didnt do a great job but still did a good job and they have helped up til last week when i painted mine again
