no not really. What people need to understand is that wheels should be an investment through which you actually benefit from putting more into them initially. I have gone through set after set of cast wheels and only was truly satisfied with the quality of my forged rims. When people say they can't afford them I throw the BS flag up in the air because if you can buy wheels now, you can save up money to buy a better set at a later time.

Yeah you should definitely invest in an ever depreciating asset.

Well we are talking about people who have already made the decision to modify their cars so this would be a more intelligent move on their part. I used the word investment because you gain a lot more from paying for the quality of a forged wheel rather than replacing crappy cast wheels. Axis wheels aren't bad, but they can't compare to the companies who make forged wheels. If you pay for quality you will be happy. I can't guarantee you will have a negative experience with the cheaper, lower quality, cast wheels on the market, but I can say that you won't be disappointed by the quality of a nice forged wheel.

Because I want to. Not because I think I'm going to get something out of it in the future. It seems like a lot of people on here, and in the "tuner" scene in general, do mods that please everyone else. It's like if you don't have a certain brand of a particular part, then it's not worthy. Personally, as far as wheels go, I plan on putting BBS LMs on my car. Not because of what anyone else thinks, but because I have genuinely wanted them for as long as I can remember. That being said, when I get them, you won't see me talking down to anyone just because my wheels cost more.

It's not about what I want or what other members want. I just want them to be happy with their purchase and you aren't doing yourself (not directed to you, in general) if you cheap out and buy wheels just because you can afford them now. I am not bashing people for buying wheels or saying they suck because they don't have Volks or Works or Iforged or something. I am just saying your money could be better spent elsewhere. Since the majority of the cheap tuner wheels are knockoffs, you can usually find a higher quality version from a reputable company. I am sorry you misunderstood my statement.

I see your point. But in reality, how many people do you think actually push their car to the limit where a strength of a wheel would matter? That's why I think people should get what they want, especially when the majority of them are going for looks. Now if someone was into AutoX, drifting (if we could lol), or tracked their car on a regular basis, then I'd definitely tell them to look into quality, performance wheels.

No misunderstanding of statements by me, I just found it funny to say that investing in your car is pointless (atleast, thats how I took it). And I understand that you don't get what you put into the car back EVER. But for me, it's the fact that I do it for me and do what pleases Me. I could care less what others think. I don't get ____ed off if someone bashes my car... I could care less because its what they think. Everyone's entitled to an opinion and everyone's opinion is different. No worries here! But I do agree, save up the money and buy what you REALLY want. YOu will be happier in the end!

everytime you put the car in gear dude. the wheels and tires are the most important part of the car, get quality wheels and tires or stay with oem. just my opinion. thats why my next set of wheels are gonna be quality.
