If cheap wheels are what somebody wants, hey, it's all up to them, it's there car, not mine. I'd love to have a real nice expensive pair of rims, but the only way that'll happen is if I hit a sponsorship jackpot. But that's not happening so I'll most likely be going for something within the 1g to 2g area.

the sponsorship issue is something i was debating on talking about

u guys deserve it, but we don't have it, at least for now

i wouldn't mind paying 3k for a 6k pair of rims :D if i like the way they look, and i don't mind a sticker on my car as well

but for now, i'm paying it all out of my pocket, and i'm in college, so you know how it is :D

alex is right. wheel sponsors are IMPOSSIBLE lol. you can really only get them if you're a company trying to build a car, for individuals its very very hard

I just sat and read threw 5 pages of belly aching and whining not to mention thread jacking on rims......
Personally I have run Axis Tourings and Konig Tantrums(originals) neither of which I have ever had a problem with and I drive the box daily in all weather. Just cause you drop a huge amount of money on a set of rims doesnt always mean they are "the Best" Grant it both sets are from the 90's and were made back when they "made good rims".
Friend of mine that is HUGE and I mean HUUUUGE into BMW's drops a huge amount on wheels for his cars BUT they can only be the BMW rim...which I didnt realize there were so many of. He does complain alot about how they dink can scuff so easily.
As for the sponsorship thing don't shut him out on trying as it is possible. Maybe not a full sponsor ship but possibly a partial. Alex you know of a friend of mine that got a partial sponsorship with his Civic when he crazy widebodied it a few years back. The rim was one of the first sets to hit the States in a 4x100 in such a deep dish.

As for bashing whether the Scion is an investment ask yourself this......where are all those cars you say were such an investment???? Still got them? were they worthy of such high statue that can allow you to come in here with a stock car and say people are silly for doin what you did then.. NOT to mention back when you were moding cars were the people of your age now then, not saying the samer thing to you? IF you say no your lying threw your teeth. I go round for round with my father who says the same thing you are and I ask him the same question....did your father say when you were building and moding cars that it was a wate then...he says your right. I ask did it stop you and he says no. He says he wished that he did how ever keep it as the value has increased....What makes you think the Scion won't be the same in say 30 years....chances are you have no clue or you'll say that they won't just to be the jerk. Stop bashin the kids. They like to tune, its a hobby and they do a real fine job doin it.

Now get back on topic and lets see some deep dish rims on a tC!!!!!!!

Oh and for the record my xB is modded, paritally sponsored, built to my likings and my kids ALL THREE OF THEM....and NOT what the judges want to see or the people wanna see....if that was the case would I have a keg in the trunk as a sub enclosure...think not!!!!

Hey guys. These pictures are of my car that my club member posted up. He told me about this thread so I had to see what was up. Thanks for nice comments about them. These wheels by Axis have the largest lip on them. The fronts are a tad over 2in's & the rears are 4in's. Also the offsets are 35 front & 45 rear I do believe.

Let me know if you have anymore questions about them or want to see more photos of the car.

Ya at first the rears rubbed. So I raised them up. But I still need to roll the fenders back there. I like the wheel a lot.

you dont need expensive wheels to rock dished wheels. VW guys rock widened steelies with biiiig dish LOL. its a euro thing. has a multi-step lip, unlike many ghetto fabulous tuner wheels.
a wheel repair shop can have it done.
5x100 examples.

you could do the same with 16" steelies off a spec tC or Toyota Matrix
