For those needing new tires (Hankook V12)
I recently installed a set of 245/40/17 Hankook v12s on my MB Weapon 17x8s.
First impressions were they were much quieter than the crappy Nexen 3000's I had on there before. Coming up to speed I could already tell they were much smoother and seemed to be more stable through bumps/dips in the road.
Handling wise, so far they are great. I have my car set up a little tail happy (vogtland springs, koni struts [full stiff out back, medium up front], hotchkis sway [full stiff out back, soft up front], kjb adjustable rear end links) and it takes a good bit of pushing her to get the back end to come around. much more stable and predictable than before.
even coming into oversteer feels predictable and easy to correct if need be. i havent experienced any understeer with the way my car is setup as of yet but so far im 100% satisfied with these tires.
havent driven much w/ them in a lot of water, but the little i did on the damp roads they are leaps and bounds better wet traction than before.
straight line traction is good as well, even at stock hp i could spin the other 245s over... these dont budge.
anyways, for $444 shipped i would recommend em.

I've been wanting to pick up a set of these ever since Car and Driver did a review on these. Just need someone to buy off my current 19" axis package and I'll be all over these in 225/40/r18.
Thanks for the 1st hand experience!

i would have to agree with you on these being great tires. me and my buddy in a 350z just got back from some grip driving, i put them on my dan gardner rpf1s and couldnt believe how good they actually are.
