Which tire pressure sensor for 15" wheel?
Anyone running 15" wheels AND using a sensor?
I want to get snow tires and different wheels for the winter, but I would like to have sensors on them. The dealer crossed the stock 17" wheel sensor part # with some other cars that run a 15" wheel but the part # is different. He said it is because of the curvature of the wheel and doesn't know if it will work on the tc. He said he has heard of other sensors not working on some cars before.
I would rather not take the chance and not have it work.
Anyone have any part #'s?

I'm pretty sure that the TPMS should be able to transfer to other wheels without any problems, there might be a few exceptions but for the most part I don't think you have to worry. And do 15" wheels clear your brake callipers?

Id say just forget about the tpms in the winter wheels and just check them every morning. but yea 15" are small. that would be a tight fit. Double check the clearnace before you buy!

I checked with 2 different dealers and they both said it doesn't matter which sensor you use, as long as it is a factory one and it is correct for that wheel. You do need the numbers off the sensors so they can program them to the car.
They also said to bring the car in before I take off my stock wheels so they can use the computer to record the numbers for the stock sensors.
I will check in later with any updates.
The reason I want the sensors are so I don't have to check them every day or every few days. Noone does that. Also if I get a slow leak while I am driving, I can fill it until I can get it somewhere to be repaired. Yes, I carry an inflator with me.
Besides, the car is equiped with this system. I would like to use it. And if that light stayed on all winter, I would go nuts. I don't believe in putting tape over the instrument cluster to hide a light.
