If the OEM colored wheels you're getting still have the OEM TPMS system, I think all you have to do is initialize the system by using the TPMS button under the dash. If not, you have to go to a wheel shop to remove the wheels and get to the TPMS. It's like a regular valve stem and is nutted onto the wheel. And when doing wheel rotations, just initialize the system by using the TPMS button.

you cannot use the sensors from another car without reprogramming the ECU (which the dealership can only do)

as for how much to swap the sensors? dunno.. expecting about $150 maybe

Some rims you might not be able to use the sensor, all that will happen is you will have the warning light on your dash. It is not a big deal

Sometimes a shop can transfer them when mounting and balancing your wheels. I just asked for mine to be transfered like it was a part of the deal.

yea a lot of shop can transfer them, however when I was trying...a lot of shops said they only could for years up to like '08 so you'll just have to call around. speaking of that....will the sensor light always be on if you get new tires that require different air pressure--like if the stock tires require 32 psi and your new tires require 27 psi (just for example) will it be "confused" and think it's underinflated? I got new tires and all it says is what the max pressure should be on those tires and I know on the side of the door it says front should be 32 and back 29 (i think) so what if you have all 4 in the new tires inflated to 38? don't mean to jump on your post...if someone can help u can just pm me

No you set the tires to whatever pressure you want and press the button in the glove box. it is in your owners manual

If you have your owner manual the steps to initialize the system are on pg. 124

tires do not require a different pressure.. it's the car that you follow... so don't look at the max pressure rating..

you always set the pressure to what is required.. which is the 32/29

if you really want to add more, then sure, just reinitialize the system after you check the pressures to where you want it.
