Tire Pressure sensors question
I want to switch my 2010 oem rims with the same rims but colored how do i change the tire pressure sensor? will i need to take it to the shop or dealership? also when they switch my wheels from front to back and vice versa wn getting an oil change wont it mess up the pressure sensor? the front sensor set for 32 wil now be 29 in the back. please tell me how all this works its all very confusing.

If the OEM colored wheels you're getting still have the OEM TPMS system, I think all you have to do is initialize the system by using the TPMS button under the dash. If not, you have to go to a wheel shop to remove the wheels and get to the TPMS. It's like a regular valve stem and is nutted onto the wheel. And when doing wheel rotations, just initialize the system by using the TPMS button.

yea a lot of shop can transfer them, however when I was trying...a lot of shops said they only could for years up to like '08 so you'll just have to call around. speaking of that....will the sensor light always be on if you get new tires that require different air pressure--like if the stock tires require 32 psi and your new tires require 27 psi (just for example) will it be "confused" and think it's underinflated? I got new tires and all it says is what the max pressure should be on those tires and I know on the side of the door it says front should be 32 and back 29 (i think) so what if you have all 4 in the new tires inflated to 38? don't mean to jump on your post...if someone can help u can just pm me

you always set the pressure to what is required.. which is the 32/29
if you really want to add more, then sure, just reinitialize the system after you check the pressures to where you want it.
