Tire Sensors not resetting.

Tire Sensors not resetting.
So I just mounted my painted stockies that I picked up from a user here. He had an 06 tC, and I have an 08. I told the shop that the sensors on his gold rims needed to stay off the car, I needed them to send back to him. So they swapped out my wheels, and when everything was finished up, my TPMS sensor will not reset, the light stays on in the dash.
My room mate who works at toyota says that each set of sensors is set to the car, and I am wondering if I have the 06 sensor on my car. I called the shop back and double checked that my sensors are still mounted on my car, and they said yes.
If these are indeed my sensors mounted on my car, then this light in the dash shouldnt be on.

there are NO sensors on the 2006.... but there are sensors on your wheels.. which are programmed to the car.
if you didn't remove your sensors from your rims and installed them in the ones you had installed.. then that's your problem.
if they are installed on your car... then check your tire pressures and reinitialize the system.
