Default Tire sizing on 18x8.5's

I know most the people in here are all about the hellaflush or w/e that nsafe tire mounting bs is, but I digress. Im just curious has anyone run 18x8.5's with a 48 offset with 245/40/18 tires? Im just wondering if itd work on the front without rubbing - fyi - car is currently on tanabe df210's which is like a 2" drop. I plan on going to coilovers very soon, but the drop will be about the same - maybe only a tad lower as itll be setup for best handling rather than slamming.

should work without rubbing, im running 17x8.5 et43, no rubbing.. plus 5mm spacers slammed on tein ssp no rubbing with rolled fenders. I would suggest 245/35/18s though if you want more looks.. as far as safety in mind running those rubbers, here's a reference if you havent checked already
