Tires - Best/Worst Brand/Model
well i havent found a thread for actual tire reviews here. i know there are some guru's out there in the scion world and if not youve been through some good and bad tires. price is out the window here lets just talk about the rubbers. what are some tires that give performance, dry/wet handling, looks, even fitment you know some are wide or narrow and still have the same size, and most of some tread life? post away!

Tirerack.com is a good site to check out for reviews, specs, and tons of other useful info, pretty much all the stuff you asked about. They have both in-house reviews and customer reviews so you get a good idea on how well the tires stack up.

Falken Azenis ST115 are really good tires. They're great in dry conditions. I havent heard anything bad about them. Just alot of good reviews about how much people lyke them. I think the only complaint would be tread life because they are soft compound tires.
Another pair i have used are Dunlop SP9000. Those tires are really great in dry/wet conditions. Really held traction when driving pretty hard. Never had a problem with those and the tread life is really good.

You have tons of reviews its the perfect place, I happen to be looking there myself today, and the offer both models that came stock ( Yokohamas & Bridgetone ). The two are pretty expensive if you ask me but they have tires from $80 to like $250 so you have to read alot. I purchased a set two years ago from the for my Mazda MX-6, they wer khumos and they turned out great considering I paid $60 a piece.
P.S. Did we forget to mention TIRERACK !

It all depends on the type of tire you want to use.
Performance Summer, Performance All-Season, Winter tires, etc.
Myself, EddNog, Basilisk4, and several other tC owners swear by the Avon Tech M550 All-Seasons. Great grip, ride, noise, and treadwear, with a 91W Speed rating.

It's really personal choice at a certain point as the more expensive tires are generally excellent.
Lots of people buy for looks, so check out the pix of the treads and sidewalls - you won't drop $600 on tires if they look like grandpas Buick rubber!
There's another thread right now about tires too - check it out, there's some links and recommendations there.
