Default Tires size question for a 16x7 rim

Just wondering what size tire should I run on my 08 tc if I swap to 16x7 rims so the speedo is still correctly calibrated?? also just wondering if 15x7's will fit the tc??

If it's for drag, why does it matter if the speedo is correct? Get some 215/40/16 slicks.

Its for drag but its also going to be daily driven. and I will be riding around on bfg drag radials which should be good when heated up properly at the track

I may go with the Daylites although the only black wheel they offer has a yellow stripe around it which I will definately have to have powdercoated over. in 17x7 they only weigh 14.2 lbs

i was interested in the tire sizing for 16" rims... i want more of a sidewall and more meat on the tire... gravel and car washes are killing my 17s... what would be the best tire for a 16" rim and still have the speedo correct?

Rota slipstream probably. Go 245/45/16 or 245/50/16 on a 16x8 wheel.

Try 215/50R16. You are only -0.6% off from stock which does not affect speedo.

Good point but not extending the width of the rubber defeats alot of the purpose...

225/50R16 is the closest you will get to the stock overall diameter. It would +1.0%.
