Default Toyo Proxes 4 Vs. Nitto Neo Gen

I've searched and searched. Can I get opinions on both of these tires? Toyo Proxes 4 Vs. Nitto Neo Gen. Which one is better? I can get them pretty much for the same price? Any feedback would be awesome!

im guessing you have a set of winter tires and these are summer? a friend of mine had the Nitto's and said he didnt like em, to loud and bad in rain. then got the Toyo's and loved them? Might want to do more research and check for reviews.

Both are great tires, about the same specs on both,Proxies probably better in the rain than the Neo Gens,I have the Neo Gens and they do fine in the rain but would not use them in the winter as they are summer tires, the Proxies are summer tires too but have a better tread pattern to push water out with in my opinion.

Default Tires

I sported a pair of Nitto for bout a year and then switched off to the Toyo which is what im currently driving on. I love the Toyo way better...the Nitto were extreme awesome in the summer but when it rained or anything..i prefered to stay indoors with my nitto's because i got a lot of splippage with them..they were decent dont get me wrong but meant for more of a street dry performance setting..my toyo's can do about the same performance wise without sacrificing too much during weather and what not.
if i were you..get the toyo's..

Out of those 2 options, Toyo...Neither are super great summer tires. I've heard mixed reviews on the Nitto's so I'd say Toyo since everyone on here has them and likes them...I personally would go a different route if you want a true summer tire unless you have a budget limit.

Neo Gens are not directional, so you can rotate them side-to-side and front-and-back. Proxes 4 are directional and can only be rotated front-and-back.

Neo Gens have a 280 tread rating compared the Proxes' 300. So the Proxes will last alittle longer, but the Neo Gens will grip alittle better. However the difference in grip and treadwear are very minimal between these two.

Nitto is owned by Toyo.

Yeah the Nittos are really weird sounding in hard corners, not the usuall tire screetch, more of a howling,it is creepy sounding, pretty srue it is the tread design making the noise, but it is weird the first time you hear it.......lol

from what i've been hearing of the two:

there both great tires. they will both grip like nobodies business and are very sticky for a fairly well lasting all season.

the CONS of each are....
proxes 4: directional.
neo gens: tread is designed for aggressive camber.

i went for the proxes 4 myself because of the above and because i got a damn good price on them. havent tried em yet. waiting for my lugnut set so i can throw my new konigs on the car with the toyo tires. the tread on the proxes is crazy thick btw.

Ive had both, and I like the Neogens better. They grip better imo. Proxes are better in rain though.

ordering nitto's on wednesday! planning on running aggressive camber anyway, so these tires are perfect.
