Default What brand of tire are you running for the tC?

I have the 18's on my car with 225/40/18 tires. My tires are almost wore out and I want to get some opinions of what brand to buy that is good. I'm looking for some that have a good tread wear rating with minimal road noise let me know what brands you guys are running and how much u spent on the tires thanks.

I have Continental Extreme Contact DWS. They're all weather's. Really aggressive tread pattern. They handle really well, road noise isn't too bad either. Check those out.

Default Yokohama Avid ENVigor

I Just had (Yokohama Avid ENVigor) put on last month.

I bought them right when they came out so there were no reviews out yet, there are about 3 on tire rack. They have good grip on wet and dry roads. they are at least equal to the stock Potenzas, $100 less, and a better warranty. ($105 on tirerack.) As of now they seem to be a good all season choice, only time will tell as to how the break down. Check out the website for more info.

You want a summer only tire? Or do you need an all-season for winters too? I run a summer only tire in the summer but switch to another set of wheels with snow tires for winter.

it's more about model rather than brand. I just bough my wife some conti DWS they had great reviews, but will be on back order until June. I got lucky. R u looking for all-weather or summer only?

I ran Falken 452's before, and they are pretty decent. They have good grip, and a 300 treadwear IIRC. Now, I have the 912's, and they provide damn near the same amount of grip with less road noise at a 360 treadwear.

I'm riding on Falken FK-452's at the moment. They grip pretty well dry and wet. I've put about 18,000 miles on them already and it looks like I might be able to get another 15,000 miles out of them. Road noise isn't as bad as the Bridgestones that came OEM with my tC.

Thanks for all of the feedback everybody, to answer some of the questions I'm looking for a summer tire since I never drive it in the winter when its bad. I like Michelin tires but they are damn expensive I currently have BFGoodrich g-force sport tires now but they are horrible in the rain but they did last a long time.

I wouldnt insult the 452's like that. I have the 912's.. and they are blah at best. Mediocre in the dry, horrible in the wet.. and if it hints at snowing they are garbage period. My previous Avons (tech M550's) were worlds better for the same price.

Start specs are very good tires.

They came out with a new version of the Falken Azenis, which are great for the price as well.. but wear will not be very good on them.

Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's are VERY good tires, but are a bit more spendy.

This. They are pretty reasonable for a real good tire. They last well and drive great in the rains down my way.
I'm a huge Bridgestone fan. Nitto is #2- but those are the All Terrains I run on my truck
