That highly depends on the potenzas you are talking about. IF you are talking about the ones that came stock on this car (RE-92s) then you REALLY must not be picky. They perform about half as well as tires much less expensive. Pretty poor choice. Older ones in smaller sizes seemed better, but since the tC came out at least in that size they are pretty bad.

Now, if you are talking the RE-01Rs, they are amazing tires. They have now been replaced by the RE-11's, which are even more amazing, but the price tag is a lot higher.

Yeah....Using a set of RE-01Rs right now....And just started looking at prices on the RE-11s....and you are right-they are a bit pricier.

But I'm okay with that!!

I autox'd on RE-01Rs last season. Got them during the big sale on tirerack for $104 each :D Will still run them this season for the first couple of events and probably cord them out at the first test n tune Then it will be on to something different since they dont make them any longer. Will either go with the RE-11's, Star Specs or, depending on if I can find someone that is trying them out and get some feedback, maybe the new version of the RT-615 Azenis. Very curious to see how those do.

i got the general altimax hp's a few thousand miles ago to replace the stock tires. sooo much better. got them for all season driving and they have a long life. my car is stock, and these tires grip well - at least for my style driving.

Get the Hankook Ventus V12 K110 tires. I got those bad boys a couple months ago and these are my 3rd different type of tire I've tried and these are the best by far! End of story, "Game Over". Go to tirerack.com and get there price per tire, then go to townfairtire.com and tell them tirerack has cheaper tires then them. Then they will go cheaper then tirerack and you got yourself a kickass deal plus they will install the tires as part of there installation package deal! GL picking a tire!!!

i dont kno how much cheaper you got the v12's at townfairtire or wat ev but they end up bein cheaper at discount tire direct because of shipping at tire rack. but they are a sick tire, i am still gettin star specs next tho.

Yeah those Re01r's were such a great tire, I'm gonna miss them.

Right now all four of them are flat across, no cords showing but I can't squeeze out any more life out of them. Heavy rain, shine, even multiple snow drives and these tires were just fantastic. Sadly I don't have time to keep auto x'ing so I had to slap some 235/40 Falken 452's on the rpf1's.

Just like you I might run the star specs on the spare OE wheels that I have laying in the garage for future "weekend" use.

I have these on as well. Love 'em! I live in CA so no need for all seasons.
