Default What Fits the tC - The List | updated 4/2/08

Ok guys, I would like to develop and maintain a sticky of what we WE KNOW fits without huge rubbing.
I'll start and maintain the table that'll be set up and accept additions through posts and try to keep it as just the list (deleting additional posts as I update the additions into the list)
Post up what you have or what you KNOW works and I'll add it to the table as we go
Format is Size/Width/Offset with Tire Width and Sidewall
For Example
Wheels 19X8X42 Tires - 235/35 Drop - TRD

***MOD EDITED***
Updated 9/19/07 - TheQuietThings
ok, the table is nearly doubly the size it was before, and i have now added a rubbing column. I hope this helps out a lot of people!

Feel free to post a list of what you know works, or if you see something that you know will cause some major rubbing, let me know as well, and I'll look into it.
Remember to keep the wheel/tire combination optimal for speedo calibration... For instance, no 17x8 inch rims with 235/30 tires!

I would like to have one place where people can go to see if their wanted combo will work or not, rather than seeing daily posts asking.

9/19/07 - All posts are being purged as the list gets updated
- Please post with wheel combinations that you KNOW work. All other posts will be deleted.

FAQ
1. If it says "NO" rubbing does that mean absolutely none... not a chance? or just not typically?

- This simply means that members who posted their wheel/tire/rim combo haven't experienced rubbing. Your results may differ.

Ok, So I just put on some 18x8 Konig's on Falken Ziex ZE 912's on my TC and they look great. No rubbing as of yet and no complaints. My question is. If I just drop it maybe 24mm with the TRD springs to fill in the wheel well abit more, does anyone think ill have any problems with rubbing ? Thanks

Depends on your tire size, but most likely not... TRD springs barely drop your car... i can fit 18x8s on tein s-techs, which are twice as low as trds

Thanks Blacklistcustoms. Another question. I noticed the stearing gets alil shaky when I hit around 70 on the highway with these rims. Think thier not balanced properly ? Alignment maybe ? Or am I just not use to the 8" width of the tires yet? Thanks again for the info

^^ Get your wheels balanced. Either that or you need some hub centric rings

Default Tires and Rims

If you go with a 20in Rim with no drop, is it possible to keep the tires from rubbing on a 2005 TC.

wheel size: 18x7.5x42
tire size: 225/40-18
Drop: Progress coil-overs (2.5" drop in front)
Rubbing? Moderate (I guess?) Only in the fronts, just make a hole above the tire where it rubs, or let it make the hole itself.
