WHEEL EXPERTS need yr advice!
All right people I'm going with the MOMO Tuner
Unfortunatly they stopped making them in 03 hence are hard to find.
Now, I went through the "what fits the tC" thread but couldn't find a precise answer.
18x8 with 38 offset
I'll be putting 225 tires and have a TRD drop
(I know nothing about offsets) Is the offset good????
What tire size should I get? 225/50/18? 225/45/18? 22/40/18? Or what?
Will there be any issues at all? rubbing or anything?
Thank you.

and this one too:
i bolded what i figure would help you out if people are putting 18x8" on tien ss i think youd be ok w 17x8's on trd those are only .5" wider than stock this is what i have garnered just by reading cause i too am looking for wheels but cant find what i want in an 18x8 and i want to do tein ssp coils and as the guy said above 8" is perfect fit... uhh hope that helps c

18x7.5/+35 225/40/18 H.Tech
18x7.5/+42 225/40/18 TRD
18x7.5/+45 225/40/18 Tein SS+P

18x8/+36 225/40/18 Tein SS
18x8/+40 225/40/18 TRD
19x7.5/+45 GL 2"
19x8/+35 225/35/19 Prog CO
These are the ones that had an offset listed and didn't involve anything other than bolting the wheels on (no rolling fenders or spacers). I also left out 17s.
You're welcome!

an 8" wide rim is the perfect fit in the wheel well.
a +35-40mm offset will give you enough clearance from the brakes and springs on the inside and the fender on the outside, even on lowered cars, but yet still put the outside of wheel flush with the side of the car.
a 225mm wide tire will span the entire width of an 8" wide rim, but not bulge out so much that it will start rubbing your fenders.
these measurements will work fine with any wheel from 16-18" in diameter and probably 19" as well depending on your drop. if you veer from these measurements you may have problems with fitment. what fits on one car may not fit on another. so dont sacrifice your ride quality just because the rims you like only come in +50mm. just buy what fits.

Just a word of advice - I wouldn't recommend that anyone purchase a wheel that was discontinued 6 mo. ago, let alone 3 years.
If you're lucky enough to find a set, what if you bend or curb a wheel in 6 months? I have customers calling all the time trying to locate a single wheel because one got damaged, and their particular style has been discontinued....not fun.
There's tons of wheel choices, and if it were a Momo seat or shiftknob or steering wheel that was discontinued i'd say go for it, but a wheel that can so easily get damaged (especially an 18" or 19" one!!@) might not be such a good idea.

Infiz - Yeah I though about that.... but it took me a year to decide on these rims....so much time and effort gone into it I'd use them only spring/summer, in the fall/winter i'd put my stock ones back on. Maybe that would help?
im4degreesaboveyou - Thank you SO much for all the info. Now I finally understand what thinking needs to go behind choosing rims/tire sizes. That was extremely helpful!

Better to be unique than get the same old rims everyone has
That's why I'm getting these (also cos I'm representing my Country).
They aren't all that icky if porsche bought them
