Default Scion tC 2014 projector headlights

Hey guys I currently have a 2014 scion tc and want some hid's in it. I have read about people complaining on installing hid's into halogen projectors. Have anyone of you guys intalled hid's in this 2014 model? How do they perform? Do they produce a lot of glare? If I decide on getting some hid projectors installed on my 2014 tc what size should I pick them?

Btw, has anyone replaced the LEDs in the bumper accent lights? Are they 192/168 in size?

They preform well enough. Obviously hid projectors will be much better but spending 45 bucks on ballast and bulbs into our stock projectors is a pretty nice output and look, my friend drives a lowered car and said I didn't glare their mirrors while behind them. I'd recommend getting the cheap setup and seeing if you like it. Doing a retro fit is pricey but will be way better but again, pricy. I think the 2014 uses 2.5in lens. You can always ask Matt from theretrofitsource one what to get, he will help you out with getting the right projector for you along with the clear lens.

I'm running a cheap kit from HIDEXTRA right now and i've got no complaints, eventually i'll look into retrofitting, but these projectors seem to be working pretty well.

Is there any chance you could post a pic just to be fully convinced? In case I decide I am planning on purchasing some morimoto.. They will be around 160dlls. So I want to be sure before purchasing them.
I'll appreciate it a lot!

There is a member with a 2.0 that has a retro and has pics of the difference but I don't believe anyone with a 2.5 has yet. I can show you how it looks with just a 35w 5000k ddmtuning kit at night. Or I'd you want to see the difference with an integra.

Yep 2014 tc is know as 2.5 I guess and the 2011-2013 is 2.0. I could be wrong but that's what I've picked up

Default NON HID "?"

okay, so i decided i want to install non-hid bulbs into my '14 because id rather reduce the hassle at this point and my 06 TL i traded in had D2S factory hids... if i use a 9006 Sylvania Silverstar Ultra or ZXE will it cause issues or damage to the housing? Cost is not a major issue with these because i work at O'reilly so i get a discount for my vehicle stuff.

The only thing I will say about the hid's is stock our projectors are aimed pretty high up on the 14' so when i put my hid's in i had to aim the projector down a little bit, and it gave me a crisper line on the road and reduced glare for oncoming traffic.

My friend has a 2011 A5 Audi and I noticed that his projectors were aimed super low but then again his car is dropped. On the 2014 tc the cutoff is not clean at all and the beam is not wide. I noticed that my friend's A5 looked exactly the same and he never touched his A5 hids.

I just put some Xenon 9006 bulbs in the headlights of my 14 tC but it wasn't a direct fit had to trim the sides
a tad to correctly lock them in they click in just right though. Dogs I believe are still H11.

I don't have my 2014 tC any more, traded it for a 2015 WRX STi. I installed 9005 LED bulbs from Theretrofitsource.com. It works great for Hi beams. The website
says not to use it for Low beams but I wonder how those would work on the tC. The last HID I bought for my tC from the retrofitsouce.com actually fit perfectly.
