Default 5k HID lighting help

Im currently running on 5k 35w hids from ddmtuning.
Its really hard to see any light on rainy days and even some clear nights.

If I get the relay harness, will this make the output any brighter? any other remedies? or should i just invest in a better kit (mengmotorsports, etc)?

That's strange. I have 8000k 35w and they are plenty bright even for night time rainy days. i ran it with and without a relay harness and i couldn't tell a difference in brightness.

Yeah its really hard to notice the light and its getting really irritating. The only time i can REALLY notice it is on unlighted roads.

but then again, i think i may have my bulbs pointed too high so i may try pointing lower if that helps at all.

i belive i read somewhere that lights with hint of blue are harder to see in the rain due to them reflecting off the water driplets. same with fog. the more the yelow the better the visibilty in rain. im planning on getting fogs with low k rating to get the yellow look.

The only hint of blue I get is during the warmup.
Other than that, its straight up white.
but its starting to dim so it looks bluer.

Don't know about op but mine are new. Cool colored hid's are just hard to see in rain. And as far as seeing in the city I would upgrade to 55watt kit

I had the same problem. 35 watt HIDs were dimmer than stock bulbs. I replaced them with 55 watt 5000K HIDs from HID Extra with a relay harness just in case. Zero problems and they are a noticeable and classy improvement over stock.

I had a 55W 4500K ddm Kit in my XA but recently switched the out for a 35W. The light was reflecting off an odd part on my headlight and blinding people/drivers on the left and right. I decided to go a bit dimmer to be nice. I can definitely tell the difference though. Like you mentioned, on bright streets, I can barely see the light on the floor.

Proper adjustment also plays a huge role in lighting.

If the kit isn't defective, this isn't true at all...

OEM HIDs for luxury brands are all 35w.

That may be the case with OEM. I was driving around for a week with 35 watt 5000k HIDs and in the rain I couldn't see. Could be the color difference but I had better visibility with stock bulbs over a 35 watt kit. My 55 watt kit on the other hand is far brighter than stock.
