There is an independent switch in the cabin by the mirror controls to turn them on or off but the way they hook up to factory is that they will only be on when the headlights are on. So if you have the fogs switch on but headlights are off they will not be on. That's why people are spicing into the running lights so that first click that turns on the LEDs on the sides of the front bumper will be the point that the fogs can be turned on

Just re-read the intall PDF from TRDSPARKS. I really have to remove the radio to install the relays? What PITA!! Don't you need a special tool to get that out as well?

Nah, just pull out the middle piece, and then 4 bolts hold down your HU, then the part that holds the relay is held down by another bolt, very easy imo.

But how do I remove the plastic dash piece without cracking it? Don't you need a special tool for that?

There is a diy on how to remove all the interior on the site that will show you step by step but just need finger strength. It's just clipped in like the rest of our interior. Just slowly work from one of the corners by the headunit and slowly pull out towards you and you'll be fine. No tools needed

Reporting back. Install went extremely smooth with the link to instructions from TRDSPARKS.

I highly recommend this mod and it should be on the "TOP 5" list of "MUST DO" mods for the TC2

I bought a kit very similar to this on Ebay. Everything was included. They're wired to run independently. The switch even fits into the dash blank perfectly. Not OEM quality, but they don't cost $300.

Default Addind Fog lights?

Finished installing mine the other day, the hardest part was where I wanted to mount the ballast since I am using hids in mine, other than that the trdsparks kit works perfectly and is probably of of the easiest things to do haha. Cost about 250 after shipping for me
