Default DDM HID Kits Ordered

Okay, after much reading online and looking at HID Kits sold locally I finally ordered 2 sets of DDM AC Slim Ballast 6000K HID kits. Couldn't beat the price and plenty of good feedback here so I ordered 2 that way if I have any problems I can use the 2nd set for parts without having to wait on replacements.

I've already put Cree LED H11 Fog lights in which I'm extremely happy with, LED white side marker/park lights, and slim DRL led lights in the grill (which turned out really nice). Also did LED interior dome/cargo and license plate lights as well.

Went the 35 watts instead of 55 because I don't want to be worried about possible heat, too much power draw, or having them too bright. I'm actually okay with the light from the stock bulbs so if the 35 watt hids are even better then I'll be happy with them. Pretty certain I'm going to run a relay as well just to be on the safe side. Hoping to install them and have little to no problems and with 35 watt hopefully no issue with squirrel spotters, blinding people, or getting flashed out on the road or drawing local law enforcement attention... Just want the brighter light to look clean and match the fog and DRL lights with the benefit of improved night vision over the stock setup...

If anyone has the DDM 6000K post up a photo and give me your feedback in regards to visibility on the road and any other feedback that might be helpful.

Thanks!

Photo's with stock headlights w/Cree LED and DRLS (The drls look a bit too blue, have seem other ones that are supposed to be white and may change them out).

Those CREE's are crazy bright. Good idea going with the 35W, either way you shouldn't get hassled they're just HID's. Most people, cops included, don't know the difference whether or not your car is supposed to have them or not. I have 6K DDM's but I haven't finished modding my '08 (tC1) headlights.

OMG... I went from trying to find a local place that sells and stocks good HID Kits so I wouldn't have to wait on replacement parts, or a month for shipping...

Just got this from DDM:
Your Item's Status Your item was accepted at 7:44 am on September 21, 2012 in CHINA PEOPLES REP

Drop shipped from China, will take frigging forever to get here... now I'm REALLY glad I ordered 2 kits, I couldn't imagine having to wait another 2-3 weeks if a bulb or ballast was bad! WOW I figured since DDM has 3 locations in California they would ship from there and possibly not take too long... boy was I wrong.

They should have been up front on their site, made in china and drop shipped directly from china... *ugg*. Well lets hope they are decent quality, glad I ordered 2 sets.

I've got the 6000K 55W HID kit from DDM. The quality of the ballasts and bulbs are great, and no problems with the 55W. Just remember, when you go to install the bulbs, do not forget to cut off the clear plastic o-ring at the base of the bulb. The bulb won't sit into the housing without that o-ring cut off

Cool I just installed my 35W 6000K kit last night, very nice color, and bright. I couldn't imagine what a 55W kit would do.
I hope these ballasts last more months at a time lol ..
I've heard very good things.

Yea I was looking at the FAQ on their site and they showed how to cut the white ring off and re seat the red ring properly if needed. Stautschecka, how long did it take yours to get to you? Got Photo's?

Well tracking number check still shows "Republic of China" my HIDs must be held up in customs... LOL

I ordered 4 of these CREE Q5 LED for the turn signals... good price at $26.00 a pair... Shipping $2.99 for 2 pairs. Anyone try these yet? I checked reviews and youtube and from what I see they seem to be good, just hoping at least as bright as the stock bulbs if not better, or at least the same brightness but cooler looking...

Anyone have experience with JLC? Wonder if I'll get another international shipping/tracking number from them... *ugg*.

I've got the same combo, except I've got the 55W. I even put the same hyper yellow bulbs for my DRL's. Looks pretty sick

I have no complains with DDM except their shipping, it sucks. Aside from that, I have purchased 8 HID kids from DDM since 2008 or so. Two of the kits have gone through 3 different Toyota's, one has went through my BMW, Chevy truck, and now onto a friends truck. For the money they are the best bang for the buck. Never gave me problems, all the kits are still going strong to this day.

Recently had an issue with my fathers 03' Rav's bulb. DDM took care of the issue and back on the road we are.

my ddm kit has made it through 100+ temps, ice storms, and floods. Not a single problem.
