Yep... Top part is reverse light.

 

As chicagokid said, the top part is for the reverse lights. There are reflectors in it too though. Like between the lights and the truck hatch and then to the far side of the light.

 

They look like cheap Altezza lights

 

Are thse the smOked ones ??

i feel the biggest problem with the OEM tails is that there's alot of empty space so the blinkers and and reverse light(s) have to fill in. these taillights only move that empty space upward, pushing the breake lights download, which highlights the dead space even more.

 

Well just purchased the black gloss pair not smoked out because i want as much light as possible. I have seen the pictures and videos of the smoked out lights on dark cars. so i want to take pictures and a video of my white scion with the clear gloss so that you guys have a better comparison.

 

wow they looks real subtle, so much so i'm worried that they might be hard to see for those who need to see your signals.

its tough, it went from over-sized signals to stealth signals.

 

I actually returned the smoke lens. The LED was just too dim and really hard to see it lit during day time. I'm just gonna put pre-cut red overlays on the stock tails for now until a brighter LED tails comes out.

Design looks ok. But that DRL should be also the turn signal and both LED strip inside of it should be the brake light. And that DRL not lighting up properly.... wtf?

 

if the lights seem orange to you there not! they are red and installed it myself in about 10min nothing to it. hope you guys like em

Ok because I purchased the euro black with the clear lens because I wanted th most light possible. Can you see yours during the day in sunlight??

 

look nasty. Lit up they don't look too bad. 1-series LCI look-a-likes. Wrap them in some red vinyl overlay and they might be ok

 

i got the taillights at about 5 ish and didint get to install them till 8ish so i havent really seen them during the day time but ill post pics of how it looks once it starts to turn sunny

 

Sounds good get mine on Thursday did the come with a hole for the second reverse light?

 

yeah they both have holes for the reverse light. for those with 2 reverse lights they will work perfect mines came with one and was to lazy to ask dealer for another but it doesnt bother me that much not alot of ppl will not see me reverse =p

 

Well that's great if it came with 2 holes then I'm going to wire it up so that I can put in a second reverse light with out having to drill the whole. Will save me a whole lot of time.

 

They look good at night, not so much a fan of it durring the day. I think I will stay with my stock tails. At least they have the second hole for reverse, that's defiantly good news!
