Default Rear Fog on the 2014?

http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/cro...p-4_600x0w.jpg

That little red piece of plastic on the bottom, is that suppose to be a rear fog light or another reflector to the ones on the sides?

I Googled it but didn't come up with anything, might have just missed it though.

I know it isn't a brake light haha. I'm just too damn lazy to look, if the 2014 fogs ever come out I might turn it into a rear one to complete the look. But just too much to have three on there to me.

There actually is a little hole in the back of it where you could stick a lightbulb.

That "reflector" doesn't reflect a damn thing. It looks to me that either they planned on making it a brake light or had the hole there for possible exhaust upgrade. But then realized they didn't want to spend the money and slapped a "blank" light socket/lense there just to fill the hole.

Rear fog lights are completely legal as long as they are red. I personally HATE them. They are most common on Audis. When they are on, it just looks like the driver is riding the brake.

that or their brake sensors need adjustment.
it is a bit annoying because others may sound the horn at you because they are surprised when you're actually braking vs when you are not.

Nah you can always tell when it is a rear fog light because when they actually DO hit the brakes, you see additional lights on each side along with their third brake light.

Most people aren't haha. But I could care less what they think, seems only right to have a rear fog if I have the front ones haha. It's that or delete it like I kinda wanna do to the side ones

2014 Owner - Canadian

It's not even reflective, it's just red plastic.

Apparently it was supposed to be a light in other countries.

I'll take a look at mine to see if mine is reflective. Seems like a dumb move on the companies part to have put it there

Trust me it's not reflective. It is a tail light housing without wiring and bulb.

As long as it has all it needs to be a light. Just have to wire it up to the front fogs to share everything. And then I can just use a led strip to be the light. Did that to have a third brake light on my old car. Works amazing

Hmm...if there is a hole in the actual frame, might be able to put a trailer hitch or extender tow bar through there so it still looks tight. I'd have to look to be sure.

I'm gonna go down and look at it and see if it has a socket for a bulb I might have. Tomorrow I might plasti dip my wheels so I might look at it and take pics then.

Dalton_Chaotic is correct about the exhaust.
The red piece of plastic you are asking about is because they didn't want to remanufacture the part. It is pictured in their "release series 8.0' video as the output for the racing exhaust pipe.

So the reflector fills the hole, nothing more - it's not required and doesn't server any purpose but to make the car look complete.

As for the corner bumper reflectors, California and Florida require them - Germany also requires them. Other states may vary so check first before removing or replacing those.
