Roof glass comes tinted?

Roof glass comes tinted?
Does anyone know if the roof glass comes tinted from the factory?
My car had optional tinted windows when I picked up the car, so I don't know if the roof glass was tinted from the factory or from the tinting company.
Just curious...

it is most likely tinted from the factory, but if you look at the edges of the roof glass, you should be able to see if they were retinted with the film. the film looks like a shiny piece of black plastic the is not cut perfectly straight.

Tinting your sunroof is a no-no!
I'm even surprised your tinter offered to do it.
The tint traps UV rays between the layers of tempered glass creating an oven of sorts for your glass. Don't be surprised if you end up vacuuming glass everywhere in your car this summer lol
If not, you're a lucky dogg!

per the owner's manual, you should not have the moonroof open 100% while driving... however it does have a stop at a certain point while opening so it doesn't open fully.
even then, at higher speed, you'll probably notice some wobbling which is fine.
rattling, on the other hand... you might want to try and narrow down its origin.. have a friend drive with you and try to locate it. i don't believe it is a known problem with regards to the moonroof..
as i never had any crazy rattles... but typical rattling in the interior panels is to be a little expected. another thing you might try is while parked, open the moonroof and try wobbling the moonroof itself gently to see if there's anything that's noticeably loose.

It started to happen when going over minor bumps.
It slowly kept getting worse, and it makes the noise constantly now regardless of bumps.
It's driving me crazy...
The next time I can bring the car in is at the end of this month (since the waiting period here is one month!!!)

oh.. you posted about the 1st gen tC..
and yet you have a 2nd gen tC.. got confused there.
i haven't heard any problems with the 2nd gen tC's moonroof though.. then again i don't really drive with it open typically.. especially at high speeds.
for the car being as new as it is, i'd have the dealer take a look at it. should be covered under warranty if there's an actual problem.
