tC2 Spec-D LED Tail lights/ Headlights with LED Strips..
These are the same K2 Tail lights but I rewired them so I can have Dual Red LED bars and amber turn signals. I'm still not too sure about the Reverse lights.
Also wired some LED strips from superbrightleds.com and 5,000K MORIMOTO HID KIT

They are 35w. I dont like 55w because they create too much glare and it also washes off the bulb color.
As for the reverse lights, I might use another type of light and relocate it. Can't find the right spot yet.

Did you have problems with leaks and condensation with the spec d taillights? I'm considering getting them, but been hearing lots of bad things about it not fitting right and people getting leaks.
The LED strips looks sick by the way!!

Rewiring is easy, if you have basic skills with wiring then you good to go.
There is only one ground wire for these tail lights so just isolate it and work with the other color wires. cut the turn signal wire half way and splice it into the brake light wire, this will activate both LED rows when the brakes are applied.
The loose wire that is the turn signal will now be spliced into the upper reverse light wire. The Reverse (+) wire will now be cut off with no power. you can now splice the LED strip's (+) wire to the existing Reverse light (+) wire.
As for the Ground it's the same wire for all the lights.
TIP: I used a 12v battery from my drill gun and some crocodile wires to test for power before putting the tail light back ion the car.

*Get the led in NATURAL WHITE with black finish.

BTW...I just received the new waterproof led strips in NATURAL WHITE with black board and tbey are too blue for my taste. I will be returning them for the correct color. I'm sure superbrightleds sent me the wrong color.
As for the turn signal bulb I used a Cree High Power Amber LED bulb

Is the right side the break or turn signal

I have very basic multimeter skills. I can find the wire for signal and brake with my multimeter, but how do I tell which one is gound when it doesn't carrry power for the multimeter to detect? I feel dumb since I can't even find the answer through a Gogle search, which always tellls me what I need to know, but not this time.
EDIT: Thanks anyway. I'll figure it out like I always do. Thanks!

I rewired my Spec-D's and I love them!! I liked them before but I thought that a single row of 5 LED's on each side for a brake light just wasn't enough, just wasn't safe enough.
So I rewired them and protected them with shrink wrap and then electrical tape to be on the safe side. When I first installed them I kept and re-used the thick rubber gaskets that were on the stock lights so everything is gonna stay nice and dry.
I kept and put the stock lights into storage "just in case". I really can't understand the people that install Spec-D's then sell the original stock lights. Parts are getting harder to find as time goes by. They will regret it one day.
Anyways, I changed out the reverse lights and put amber LED's in their place, and they look like they may actually be too bright .... lol !!
As far as the left over reverse light wires, I used the drivers side for my back-up camera which has 6 bright LED's, so those are my back-up lights now, and the passenger side I just left clipped.
Thank you very much for this idea. I think it's fantastic!!
I'm adding a couple of photos. Please ignore the big shadow I made on the back of my car. lol !!
I'm going to take new photos soon.
Thanks again for a fantastic idea!!
I'm much happier with my Spec-D tail lights!!
