Was at my local dealership looking at the 2011 tC. It had a pretty cool lip spoiler on it. I did not want the actual tC at the dealership so signed papers for another one but opted out of getting one with a spoiler. The reason being is I am wondering if they are going to offer a pedestal spoiler like with the older versions. I'm not too big of a fan of lip spoilers, but would settle for the one currently available if they are not going to offer another one. Any one hear anything about a pedestal spoiler or should I just go ask Sister Nina for advice?

I haven't see any listings for a pedestal type spoiler on our documents. The lip is likely to be the only one unless something is planned for a late release.

^I would disagree. The car looks 100x better with the spoiler then without. It was the first thing I bought. Well worth it.

I think that spoiler is ugly. It would be nicer if it wasnt so bulky looking. The need to thin down the wing part. It looks like its 3 inches thick and needs to be 1.5 or less!

I'm not hating on the lip spoiler now. I don't have a problem with it at all, but I always liked the look of the pedestal spoiler on the older versions. Just wanted to know if anyone had a heads up on whether there was going to be one or not. If not, I will just buy the lip spoiler separately if one doesn't apppear in the next couple of months.

the rear end of the new tC is kinda... ick to begin with.. adding a spoiler doesn't really help it too much.

i'm still trying to get used to the new rear..... so far not yet.

Rear end on the 5axis tC2 looks so much better, they should have done with that design imo.

im sure some aftermarket company will come out with a more pedestal-ish wing here in the near future...just keep your eye peeled for one

That was my plan. But patience can only last me so long. I hope something comes out soon, or I will just have to break down and get a lip spoiler, not that it looks that bad. But the tC2 with no spoiler just looks like its missing a piece.

that fat lip spoiler is what makes the rear end almost bearable on the new tCs.
anyone else notice that EVERY tC at the test drive shows had it installed? or was that just in texas, lol/

if there was a pedistal spoiler offered i would think it would be available on release. IMO, you should get the OEM lip or not wait too long for another one similar, anything to take out that hard edge, i don't think a pedistal type like the first gens would work nearly as well.

I know they are offering their kit located on fivead.com and even give the option to have it color matched as long as you purchase the full kit.

I like the rear spoiler, and hope for a good selection from several aftermarket suppliers. I've put rear spoilers (myself) on my last 3 cars.

Not really feeling that lip spoiler, it looks a tab bit too thick, maybe if it was smaller or thinner it would like nice.
