Here is my baby - Bela (literally still a baby; got less than 4K miels on her). Got her in May of last year. Made just a few cosmetic changes (tints, tail lights, interior LEDs, antenna)- a bit nervous about changing major stuff (springs, HIDs, etc.). Next will be adding fog lights, which is KINDA major for me.

Hey.
I just saw your posting...
And I have inquired about replacing the tail lights...
BUT some concerns came up (i.e. wouldn't fit properly, water leakage... etc)
Can you give me any information on where you got them? price? installation? etc...
That'd be amazing thank you.
You're the first person I have seen with them, they look great!!!

Thanks for the feedback, Katie! They were SUPER easy to install. All you have to do is:
1. remove the back panel of the tail lights (from the inside of the trunk). There you will see three screws that hold the tail lights on.
2. Remove the screws, take off the original tail lights (no need to remove the bulbs).
3. Take the new lights (which already come with LED bulbs) and screw them in place of the old ones.
4. Put the cover back on and done.
I haven't had these lights on for very long, so not sure about leakage, but the fit is perfect! The only thing is that if you have a 2012 or newer model, you will have only ONE reverse light, as these were made for the 2011 model, which had only one reverse light. I haven't found any that were made for a 2012 or newer, but it's not a problem, really.
I purchased the lights on http://www.carid.com/2012-scion-tc-taillights/. They come in three different colors (you can check it out). the price is around 250, but you can find them other places as cheap as 200....
There is also a great video that I found on youtube:
(Just ignore the part about removing the light bulbs, as this is an UNNECESSARY step).

Awesome thank you..
That's great to hear, thank you for the step by steps. Appreciate it.
Yeah that sucks though, I have a 2012 - and I really don't like the look of the one reverse light. But I will definitely investigate more.
I had seen someone post the tail lights before - but like I said your the first person I've seen do it. And it looks great

Well Joe...lets see your super custom ride...
The tweeter install is "awesome" the guys at Radio Shack must be proud...
My car is subtle on purpose.. anyone with a Scion should see the "mods" as they're called..
Good Talk..

I wouldn't post exterior shots of my car since it's also just another stock scion. I did shave my antenna and lowered it a tad with meganracing coils, but it's far from anything significant that would justify me to post full pics of my car since it's still quite stock looking just like yours.
I will post pics when I change out my wheels, but that's a little ways down the road for me. I think changing out the wheels dramatically changes the look of the whole car.
On the interior side, yea that's different overall with the speakers and leather which is why I posted pics.
P.S. You should have used Best Buy instead of Radio Shack in your insult.

ur not alone =) I was in the same position as u couple weeks ago lol... and decided to drop mine on Raceland coils, and it actually rides better than I expected... ride quality is acceptable, slightly bumpy on slower speed.. but rides better than when i had lowering springs on my previous cars..
here is a pic a day after i installed the coilovers. front and back are dropped all the way. but not fully settled.
