What is your average mpg?

The computer always says about 28.8 in mostly highway/local and some city. on the highway if i'm cruising at 60-65 and reset the computer it'll say 35 AVG at the end of the drive after it goes down consistently from the moment i reset it when it says 45.
However, if i do the manual calculation (taking how many gallons i've filled up and miles i've driven and dividing) even if the computer says 28 i've been usually 1-3MPG higher. 32 avg is my high in mixed, mainly highway/local road driving. I'll know more once i get a long hwy road trip that uses most of the tank.
Eco light on as much as possible, and running 93 octane from Shell or Sunoco only, might make a minuscule difference.

Dang I dont get more than 22mpg. I even put on my stock intake for a week and drove like an Asian and only got 22.
My MPG indicator is usually around 20. I drive spirited tho, so maybe thats why.
I dont know what else I can do. I track my mileage and gallons every time I fill up and the cars MPG is right on target.

It seems when I reset it and try to drive like grandma, I still don't get good numbers.
I dont understand how you guys are getting above 30mpg....?

What I've noticed, if you are driving in the city or stuck in slower/stop and go traffic on the highway your not going to see much above 25 mpg. My drive to work is at 4am in the morning, 33 miles one way way with 70% of that being highway with the cruise control at 75 mph. Going to work in the morning with no traffic I get 31. On the way home at 2:30 in the afternoon I get caught in slower traffic with some stop and go at times, during this time I see 27. During the weekend with stop and go traffic around the mall, going out to the stores and errands I'll see 25. Combined city and highway I usually end up at 27.8 for the week. Left the gauge alone for a month and it stayed pretty much at 27.6 - 27.8 the entire time.
My observation is if you are not doing much highway driving you will average around 25. My friend at work has a 2011 TC, he lives closer to the office and does not see much highway driving and averages 24-25 most of the time.
I'm not sure if you driven V8 or V6's in the city before but I know my wife's V6 and my V8 cars would see 16-18 mph with city driving on the average, so really 25 mpg isn't all that bad. You have to consider you have a larger 2.5 liter 4 cylinder that is putting out 180 horsepower. Most of the smaller cars that get 30-40 mpg are lighter, smaller motors 1.6-2.0 liters with much lower horsepower.
When I researched gas mileage (real world) on different cars I found the TC to be a very happy medium in gas mileage. It gets 25-31 most of the time depending on conditions yet still has enough power be somewhat fun. I test drove a lot of cars and I just couldn't stand the weaker smaller 4 cylinder engines that got better gas mileage. So really the TC for me is perfect. Better gas mileage than the V6 and V8 vehicles but not a wimpy straining 1.8 or 2.0 liter 130hp weakling either like the gas sippers. (and I don't want a smaller 2.0 liter turbocharged motor due to longevity and a turbocharger being another item to have to worry about repairs on)
My friend has a Camry V6 and complains because he only see's 18-19 mpg on average, most of his driving is city. I'm completely happy with the mileage I'm getting out of the TC. It's still fun to drive and worth a few MPG lower than the smaller weaker 4 cylinder cars.
One note here on my car, I have weighted it down with 100% sound deadening installed, amps, wiring, and a 1.7 cubic ft sub woofer box. I'll bet I've added around 100 lbs to the car.
I'm wondering if the cold air intake will make any difference in the numbers I am seeing on my average to work and back driving. Will find out here soon.

32 MPG
I do alot of highway driving (usually at ~80MPH) and my average MPG is 31.9MPG. I have a DIY cold air intake (routed from the lower driver-side fog lamp grill up to the stock airbox with the snorkel removed) and a Megan Axle-back exhaust installed. Prior to installing both of these my average MPG hovered at 30 MPG.
