So...I emailed Password:JDM a couple of days ago inquiring about a powerchamber air intake for our cars. Apparently there is one in the works! It's still in the testing phase right now but, I will definitely be picking up one of these when its available! Just a heads up if you are looking for a new intake

Do these type of intakes have any advantage of traditional style intakes, or do they just basically look badass? lol

I think that almost all intakes provide the same minimal gains on newer cars. I had one of these on my civic and it just sounded so mean! The looks and badass-ery are just a plus

Apparently they have exhaust coming out also...I'm not diggin it though.

I guess it's safe to say it'll be a CF intake? The mass majority of their intakes are

Yeah all of the power chamber intakes are carbon fiber or kevlar.

@ ridethesky84 - Not sure when the exhaust will be available. You could always contact them and ask! http://passwordjdm.com/Contact_PasswordJDM.aspx

@ Roller_Toaster - No dyno numbers, they only told me that it was still in the testing phase. The picture is from the 1st generation tC, just posted it so people could see what the Power Chamber intakes look like.

I contacted PW:JDM when I first saw their tC2 exhaust video on YouTube and they told me it should be ready for the market in about 2 months. However, it's not ready. I'm not wasting my time with these guys. They seem to be really involved in all things "Honda" related, but they don't seem to give much attention to the Scion community IMO. I only go to them for things like engine dress, shift *****, tow hooks etc. Basically looks, not performance.

i agree.. their "power chamber" intake isn't even an original idea, J's Racing Japan (Honda Tuner) came up with the "whale-*****" shaped intake, but as with other great aftermarket products- too expensive and difficult to even obtain, so they did make it easier for everyone else, but started building the product for other engines it's not meant for- such as our 2AR-FE (people buy it cause its different) and the other product they were know for are their tri-mount front strut tower bars, which Carbing Japan made first..

I don't think their tC1 intake ever made production, just all talk and prototype. I'm fine with my HPS intake with AEM dry-flow filter.

Ya, PWJDM is a lot of talk. They always post stuff about making new products, getting people excited, and then they just end up making stupid stickers or dumb hood risers or other stupid, really expensive parts.
