Default RWD conversion price

I stopped by a speed shop, and they specialize in FWD to RWD and AWD conversions and forced induction. They said if someones wants a RWD tC2 that it would cost ~$25k-30k.

Is this overpriced? And, who would pay that much for a conversion (other than a race or drift team)?

Threads like this make me lol. If you can afford to do that, there's no reason you should be in a tC.

Indeed, the FR-S is gonna be a badazz rear wheel drive Scion, is coming out very soon, and has the suspension set-up for RWD out of the box, you would be absolutely nuts to run RWD for that price unless you are Ken Gushi or Tanner Foust doing professional drift competitions....but even that doesn't really count because those cars pretty much dont have a stock part on them other than maybe the headlights.

^This, and also you wouldn't be here asking that question. No one has done a RWD tC privately, so no one can really say what would be a fair price.

If I won the Megamillions lottery I'd totally do this, AND buy a brand new BMW M5, Viper, Mustang GT500, Mercedes AMG, Bentley, Farrari.....Having a tC as a sleeper car would be epic. It would have to be pushin 350 horse though

Ask about a group buy price I'm sure it will come down. Also a price check on a fwd s13 conversion.

Are you serious? Lol. A group buy would probably have to consist of 20+ tC2's driving here to the Orlando/Kissimmee, Florida area to get it done and still have to shell out some serious money (not to mention the time the cars would be there).

basically this seems about right on... you have to take into account that you will need a new transmission about 2000-3000 new rear axil about 1000 the welds that will be needed to make this fit free if you can do it and about 99$ an hour for a specialist to do all of this and your looking at at least 100 hours of work

EDIT: if you can do the work hell yea go for it otherwise dont bother

I'd do it in a heart beat if I had that kind of money. It would be unique and different. Any one can buy an F-RS. I'd rather have a bad ___ tc.
