I heard the Greddy Kit will be a muffler mount turbo kit where everything is mounted in the rear of the car.

^I would like to see that idea...ive seen it on a twin turbo lexus isf but obv. never on a tC and maybe it would allow for a less crowded engine bay.

Our DESCENDANT tC2 2011 C.A.R.B. Turbo kit also has the turbocharger mounted in a unusual spot. The DESCENDANT tC2 2011 C.A.R.B. Turbo kit includes a manifold that locates the Turbocharger underneath the intake manifold. Totally different than anything else on the market!

More details coming soon!

Is it because there's no room in the front for the turbo to be installed

We found room to design our DESCENDANT 2011 tC2 Turbo Kit using a traditional turbo manifold however new guide lines will make these designs unable to pass C.A.R.B.

Our DESCENDANT tC2 C.A.R.B. design will mount the turbo above the sub-frame & below the Intake manifold

Honestly, there's A LOT more room in the tC2 engine bay because the radiator no longer sits in front of the core support. tC2 radiator is tucked under the core support like in the xB2 ultimately giving you more room between the cylinder head & radiator fans. It might look close in a picture but once you actually get in there remove the cover you'd see the difference.

Aren't rear mounted turbo kits are used for better spool time due to the exhaust gasses being released faster and the turbo gets nothing but cold air all the time, If I'm correct you lose some power because of the placement but you gain more from the cold air. Or something like that...

Spool time would be even worse...More piping ='s longer time for air to fill up the pipes! As for colder air, can't really get any better than Spearco intercooler air temps no matter where the turbocharger is placed.

maybe that was is... so you would prefer a traditional mounted turbo over a rear mounted turbo?

Yes, rear mounted system is a cool concept but won't be the preferred method for making horsepower!

Can't wait to see how the development comes along over the next few months. I'm already plotting the sale of my xB and order of my 2011 tC2! - As I like the idea of the CARB legal kit, i REALLY like the fact that you will offer a version designed for raw power right out of the box.

My Descendant kit on my xB has been a ton of fun and very reliable....It has also had plenty o' good freeway battles against many of Detroit's finest..

It's not like it's "never" been done on a tC.
