Cool I'm looking for a quick-spooling turbocharger

Hello ladies & gentlemen,

I believe the most well-known quick-spooler would be disco potato, the famed GT28RS. I'll be using this (or a near equivalent) in lieu of the stock turbocharger on either the descendant or ptuning kit.

What are my other choices, and do you folks have any recommendations? This car is a daily driver, so mid-range torque is a priority.

Thanks folks,

-John

Check out the descendant kit. See what turbo they are using. What you looking for power wise? I know the 16g will spool quickly!

16g td05....fastest spool you can get. i hit full boost at 2500 rpm. or if your looking for more top end from a bigger turbo than a 16g, you will never go wrong with a ball bearing

I'm thinking GTX2863R, at the moment. Seems to combine quick spool with excellent room for growth.

Ball bearing T28 turbo's have quick spool times, plus they are cheap, you can get one for under $500

I've decided upon the GTX2863R w/ .63 AR. Seems like the elusive jack-of-all-trades, master of all: has the quick spool of disco potato, with the potential for significantly more top-end.

. . . I suspect you're trying to be funny. So I'll save the facepalm and just chuckle quietly instead. ;)
