I tried that and it did not permanently disengage. Plus shifting + steering > trac off button! LOL

That's odd, it works for me. Are you saying that after disengaging TC and VSC by this method that yours re-engages before the engine is shut down? Bummer...

You gotta remember that this is a newer vehicle and a different engine and with stricter government regs on VSC and traction control being standard it was bound to happen!

Did you notice the post by Crush stating that this method worked on the TC2?

Paul was talking about the XB2, not the TC2 but either way, Crush tested it on a TC2 and said it worked.

If you simply push the VSC button it will disengage TC up to 30mph and then re-engage. If you hold the button down (engine running and stopped) for several seconds until both the TC and VSC dash lights come on, TC and VSC will disengage and stay that way until you press the button again or shut the car off. I have not tested this on a TC2 but it works on the XB2.

I will try it again, but it did not work the first time. It simply re-engaged.

Sorry everyone for not updating the thread.
Wow, 7 pages and we haven't remove one bolt yet.

We finally got the go ahead for this project from the dealership.
We will try to keep the thread updated with pics of the build.
