Default Best sound system i can get for $600?

I have the Premium Audio with RCA Outputs head unit and i want a better sound system then the stock. It's pretty good as it is, but i want more. I thought BOSS was a good brand to buy from, but i need input on what to buy. I like to feel the vibration/the power of the music if ya know what i mean, and i want good sound quality. So i really want subs but also good sound quality. Also i don't want the sound to just be coming from the back if i got subs their, i want it to be all around. I saw some speakers that are half subwoofers or w/e but idk if they are just as good as just subs.

Anyways if anyone could give me a list or throw out suggestions on what i could buy that would give me what i want for around 600-650$. Thanks!

Not gonna get you very far unless you scrape the bottom. Good quality HU is gonna cost at least 300-400USD. Brackets and wiring another 20. (most online retailers will include these free) Subs you can feel are most commonly dual 12" which will set you back at least 200-300 each. Enclosure is another 70-200 depending on what and where you get it. Then you need to amplify those subs, costing another 300-400. Oh you'll also need wiring for the amp so there's another 70-120. It's not cheap to do it right and is out of budget range for most people. Walmart and BestBuy do offer more budget friendly solutions. You could also check in with your local sound shop if you have one in the are.

So my HU isn't good enough? Which brand is the best to get some good 12" subs ? Also would i be able to get dual 12" subs + amp, like a package which would be a little cheaper.

To me, it sounds like the best thing for you would be to look on craigslist. Go to craigslist and look for 12" subs. You can buy an eh set of 12's in a generic box and throw them in your car for around $150. Then use the rest to get an eh amp and speakers or whatever you need

Powered packages are a good place to start. Walmart and BestBuy offer box, sub and amp packages at an affordable cost. Kicker Pioneer and Polk will probably be the top of what they carry, moving down into Sony and JVC, and then on down to Dual and Visonik.

Default head units are rarely up to par on sound reproduction. While some are better than others, and our stock units are pretty damn good, they're can't compare with a good quality aftermarket piece.

here's my setup and it's a good compliment to the factory system.

Sub

Amp

Box

and you will need an amp kit of course.

you're not gonna win any competitions or anything, but it will tickle the ear drums a bit.

Don't buy from crutchfield, there customer service is good but prices are typically high... compairson shop for sure. Ask if they are an authorized dealer and if warranty is good.

Also the craig list, JL 500/1 at 150-175 is a great buy, just be sure it's in good cosmetic and functioning condition.

Do your homework on subs, there are SQ subs and SPL subs. JL, Memphis, American Bass, Image Dynamics... some names I would trust and buy, I currently have a JL 500/1 and 10W6v2 in a custom tuned L-Port box, sound great plenty of bass, designed more for SQ than SPL but still plenty loud for me.

your best bet would be to buy an off brand anything without a name attached to it... first off boss makes good home audio but ____ty car stuff go talk to anyone who knows car audio they will tell you the same...

second im running two Earthquake 10s and they out bump my friends 2 alpine x 12s and my other friends 4 memphis 12s and paid less for my set then they did

i havent done anything to the speakers just fine tuned my radio i have 250 in each sub 250 in my amp and 400 in my double din kenwood radio

my biggest piece of advice is proper setup make sure everything is wired to the best setup i have my subs wired to 1 ohm with amp pushing 800 watts to each sub
