Default Blu Logic & XM Radio

I got a PM asking about the Blu Logic install and since I can't figure out how to attach pics to PMs, I'm posting the pics here. If a mod would like to enlighten me, I'd be happy to just end this post.

Dealer installed both the XM & Blu Logic systems. These are just pics I took of their work.

Not to raise any alarms, but the mic is in the wrong spot...

You'll like the BluLogic system though!

thanks alot of posting these pics!

I'm surprised by the placement of both the mic and the antenna.

would the placement of the mic affect the airbags?

Hmm... Why doesn't it surprise me the mic is in the wrong spot? Well, the system works with the mic where it's at so I'm gonna wait til I take my car in for something else to get that fixed.

Thanks for the info though. I love how you and Craig provide mx manuals.

Mic won't affect any safety features. Airbags are designed to go thru plastic panels before cushioning your body from the car. Only negative I can see is I could end up with a mic shaped welt after and accident. LOL

the blulogic mic on my parent's rav4 is by the ignition, out of sight, out of mind. i think the placement of the mic is subjective as long as it works and doesn't get in the way.

My mike was installed behind the steering wheel as well. I don't have that many issues as long as I speak a hint louder than I naturally would. I am sure the placement up on the A-pillar is better so long as the windows are closed...maybe would be more subject to wind noise with windows open, though?
