Default Looking for Racing Pedals...

I'm looking to put some pedal (covers) on my tc2...but I don't really know which one...So I'm looking for some help/advice our there!

Off the top of my head the only brands I can think of that have racing pedals are Sparco, Razo, Momo, and OBX (I'm not including cheap no-name/imitation brands). And I can't really find a set that I really like...

So other than those, I have no idea what else to look at...

Also, I'm thinking of popping in this tc1 dead pedal and would prefer a set of pedals to match

Don't know if these will fit, but I'm sure if you sent them measurements they could recommend one that works for you best...

are there any benefits to installing racing pedals? or is it purely for aesthetics? Most seem to be just something you attach on to the stock pedals.

When i had a Camry SE before i wrecked it, it had sports pedals and they felt a lot more grippy than the stock pedals in the tC

1stOne, well those just look like the OBX pedals...which have a circle design...that TC dead pedal has a stripe/bars design...

mainly for looks...but u can really feel the difference in the grip as Enzie said

it's especially good when wearing shoes with low traction (like those slippers/sandal days) or when its raining..

While they may appear similar, they are far better quality.

The only other option I can see is look at past Toyota sports models and see about getting pedals from one of those.

I actually like the Killertc pedals. They remind me of what I linked above except even better they say it fits perfectly over the scion pedals. Although a dead foot pedal isn't needed therefore they should have enforced that to the package. I would like the dead pedal if the floor of the scion wasnt already acting as a dead pedal already.

Thanks for the bump Kid. You got me looking again and I think I am going to order the set from killertC.com. If anyone has this set I would love to see some pictures

I've been looking for good racing pedals for months as well. Looked at all the sparco, obx, razo, momo etc. I found the best option to be www.ultimatepedals.com. They are all custom fitted, and unlike the others, they are not a cover they replace the pedal. Besides custom fit, you can choose from a long list of finishes, grips, and dead pedal styles. You can even have them do custom logos like scion or tC or whatever, just have to call and talk to them. I especially like how the dead pedals have bent sides to cover the side carpet, and you can get heel/toe extensions for the gas pedal if you race. I can't say I have them yet, but seemed like the best option to me.

How would you go about taking off the stock pedals... they seem to be molded onto the arm as a 1 piece.

the rubber comes off, its just a cover. You can just pull it off by hand in like 5 secs. There's a metal plate underneath that you measure, send in the specs and you drill the metal part and mount the custom pedal.

I emailed that company and they do not have the measurements in stock for the TC so who ever would be the first to order will be charged a 25.00 fee to add it specs into their system. (I think thats BULL) so needless to say I will not be ordering from them.
