mt Shift **** replace problems
Hey everyone- I have searched all around the forum and no dice so far.
I just received a Razo RA96A GT Advance Black Leather Short Shift **** for my b day and went to do the change out yesterday afternoon. I specifically asked for this one as I researched it and found it to be supposedly compatible with the reverse lockout on the 2012 scion.
I got the correct adapter screwed in to the razo and went to put it on- after unscrewing the oem I immediatley noticed that the inner diameter of the underside of the razo is smaller than that of the oem - cant screw the new **** on as the reverse ring will not clear the inside of the new ****. I was tempted to send it back for a refund- but am worried I might just be overlooking something and wanted to ask the experts before tryign another ****.
So- what am I doing wrong? TY.

Thanks. The TWM is a little too pricy for a shift **** for me. I have decided I don't want a non symetrical **** a'la the RAZO or the "other one" with the pistol grip look- which are essentially the same style- I think they make the shifter too long anyway. I have decided on a Password JDM- a little lower profile and fits the RL and is round. Wish they had the gunmetal in the 2012- the brass looks super heavy, but no way brass would look anywhere near good as a match to the interior. The standard one will be at least 2-3x heavier than stock anyway and I don't really think the scion needs a super heavy shifter- it's not like the ransmission is that tight to shift through.

Thanks for that- I will definitely take the password off the list- I wish they made it in stainless steel- woul dnot be as hot as the black.
I am going to go with the "other one" after all. Hope it is as heavy or close to the Razo. Sadly- I gave the Razo another go yesterday before shipping it back- it screwed on fine- looked really good- but the collar simply is too wide to slide into the ****. When I ordered it from Amazon- it specifically said it would fit a 2012 TC- looks like that is no longer the case after my complaint. Thanks for your help.

The weight helps tons, def. get a heavier ****. The tranny synchros get real fussy in the winter. 1st and 2nd gear can be a pita. Any metal **** is going to burn you in the summer, I just put my factory **** back on, my al. one was getting pretty damn hot.
