Need help taking apart back panels for deadening

i'd stay away from peel n seal, as its ashpalt based, and not butyl based which is all around better when it comes to quality (sticking, effectiveness, ect.) plus you shouldnt need to use a heatgun to apply it
i've got 180sq ft throughout my tC and barely a single road noise.. however i did it for acoustic reasons over anything else

just a comparison of peel n seal to a few other brands, i used to use secondskin when i had an affiliate sponsorship with them, but now i use audiotechnix 80mil sound deadener

open your hatch, you will see 4 panels, one on each side, one straight back, and the one your trying to pull off.
remove the panel going horizontally (just above the rubber grommet where your wires pass through)
after removing that, remove each of the side pieces.
now before you pull the very top piece off there are 2 push pins on each side where the panels (previously removed) cover, remove those and start pulling down on the panel
very easy to remove, you can clearly see where each panel meets, they all just pull straight out

Exactly what he said^. It would be helpful if you have a panel popper. You can get those for $5 at Autozone. It will help freeing the clips while removing the panel and if some stayed behind on the car.

Okay thankyou because you made it really easy for me to take it apart. Once I got the panel out I applied seal and peal everywhere where it would be seen or in the way this included the many hollow areas between the metal. It was very easy and I notice a huge difference in the acoustics of my 2 12's . It also makes the trunk more solid and quieter when you slam it. I would say I used about 30% of the roll which would be about 6 dollars on this part. Very effective and affordable

Need help taking apart back panels for deadening
I followed the direction to take the rear side paneling off an it was very easy and only took like 1.5 hours to apply the peal and seal and put the panel back on I took the panel off and cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol. I put peel and seel everywhere I could and doubled up behind the speaker for better sound. this mod was a very good one because it made the car quieter, boosted my sound system, and made it feel more solid from the outside( went from metal sound to solid sounding). I regret not doing this sooner because it cost me 35$ and about 5 hours of work which was well worth it. Next step is possibly applying peel and seel to the doors and front fenders( if that's even possible toget into that area) if you have any questions feel free to ask

Looking forward to this. I just took apart my entire rear paneling. Plan on dynamatting the car on Monday. Also in the midst of doing the big three with 0/1 gauge wire, and upgraded my alternator to a 150 amps. Any tips on taking of front door panels? I have a general idea but any further input would make it that much easier...

Almost finished dynamatting the car. The difference when knocking on the rear quarters from before and after is incredible. I should have done this mod a long time ago. I also purchased the peel n seal stuff to put on the interior panels for added soundproofing. I'll post pics when done.
