Rattling behind the glovebox?!

Rattling behind the glovebox?!
I have a 2011 tC and just recently noticed a noise coming from the behind the glovebox. I removed the glovebox and checked the in-cabin airfilter and everything else around it but the noise is still there. Its a small rattling noise that can be heard when the car is idling, driving down the road and when I hit a bump. I checked under the hood and there isn't anything there as well as under the front right fender. This noise just started about two days ago and seems to get louder. At first it was only noticeable when you're driving down the road but now its all the time. Is anyone having this problem?! I've heard/read about the 1st gen having actually glovebox rattles but its not my glovebox. I love the tC2 but it has nothing but rattles everywhere. If it isn't one thing its another I'm going to Toyota after work but I can only imagine what boggus excuses they're going to give me..

I've got an annoying rattle coming from the passenger seat when going over bumps and potholes. It stops when someone sits in the seat, or when I hold down the back of the seat (to curtail some of the vibration).
The seat is very lightweight, and vibrates nonstop - just take a look when you drive. The rattle is exacerbated when I extend the seat all the way back. To rectify for now, I've pulled the lever on the corner of the top of the seat (as to let someone in the back) and pulled it forward. It's odd to look at, so it's not a long-term solution.
Has anyone experienced this yet? I'm afraid it's a faulty seat railing, or loose nuts/bolts at the pivot where the top part of the seat meets the bottom part.
I'll try to the dealer to see if it's covered under warranty, but I'm sure they won't spring for another seat or fix the railing.

I have a Scion TC 2011. I also have a Scion TC 2005. All of sudden on several occasions I have heard a loud rattling noise under the dash. One time it was very loud and went on for several seconds. These rattles always stop. I thought it was the A/C at first, but when I turn off the A/C, the sound keeps going.
It sounds like a harley-davidson, and it sounds like there is a piece of paper stuck in the vent. It is very weird and frusterating. My 2005 TC has never made this noise. I called the dealership, and they told me there was nothing they could do unless they heard the noise themselves. It always goes away before I can get to a dealership.
My concern is my warranty is going to expire, and this rattling could potentially cost me a lot of money down the road. No pun intended....I have no idea what it is that is causing this noise. Any feedback would be most appreciated! Thank you!~

Belive it or not the noise you're describing it actually coming from the molding at the top of the windshield. it's kind of common on the TC but hard to reproduce..
Only at certain speeds in combo with temp and wind angles.. (freaked me out the first time i heard it, i thought there was a Harley next to me)..
If you have either the dealership and/or a glass speciailst reseal the molding where the windsheild meets the glass roof you'll be good....

I have the same problem! I found that it was the back seatbelt. There must be a loose piece or something. I hit it a few times and the rattling has stopped so I guess that was the problem! If you still have the rattling problem try that!
