I dont exactly like that shift ****. It kind of looks unnatural like its too big for the boot. Did redline not give you some round plastic to put below the **** so it can instead be wrapped around that?

 

any tutorial on how to install the boot on an auto?

 

Dident want to start a new thread, but hopefully this gets some attention. Im looking for people who ordered redline boots for whatever shifter, but also/or the ebrake.

MightyP told me his ebrake boot from them had a metal retaining ring already sewn into the redline boot. Did everyone else who ordered one come the same way?

I ask because mine, did not. And I was told they do not come like that.....before I go b----ing up a storm for being lied to, I wanted to see if more than one person got a good boot with the metal already in it.

My ebrake boot didn't come with it either. Emailed them and said I had to cut out of the factory one to get it to go in right

 

Thanks goose. I am glad to hear I'm not the only one. I love the product, and the company has been fine so far. I just dident want to hear that they lied to me.

Maybe they did it for MightyP's boot since he is the one that sent them his stocks to begin with, plus he wrote the instruction manual.

 

Mine also didn't come with the metal ring around the boot.

I installed the auto boot and it was a _____. No thanks to the tutorial since it wasn't even for an automatic.

 

can you tell me exactly what you ordered i really want to get the same thing for mine lol, did you have any trouble installing it??

 

How did you get the boot to fit so cleanly around the ****? I was trying to do something similar with my short shifter and stock boot but it doesn't look that clean.
