Decided to go with JL 12w6v2 and 500/1. Should be arriving early next week!

Anyone else have an install they'd like to share?

Thanks for the pic! I will probably go that route with the amp in the back of the seat. It looks clean! Did you install yourself or did you have any vendor do it?

I usually do it myself, but have been extremely busy lately, so I had a local stereo shop do it. I need to find wire covers for this amp to make it really clean. The amp usually comes with them but I got it off of ebay and didn't come with them. I might soon be moving it over to the other seat tho, I want to have it on seat that is smaller, in case I do want to flip down my larger seat and not worry about the amp. My suggestion is to make sure that you mount it high enough that the spring loaded cover doesn't rest on the amp.

Does anyone find it beneficial to install a capacitor, or are they more of a gimmick. I used a 2 farad Tsunami cap with a previous system and still experienced dimming...

You'll love the JL stuff. Slash amps are killer!

I have some stuff but not sure what to do with it yet...

- JL 250/1
- JL 300/4
- (2) JL 8W3

Want a flush floor but might just wait until my next car for audio again...

I have the amp installed now. Waiting for the sub to arrive...ebay seller didn't provide shipping ugh. So I have a nice empty custom sealed enclosure sitting in my living room waiting...

Pics up as soon as I plug and play!

Not bad, marito, thanks for the pic!

195scion, thanks for the good review, I hope it's as good as I'm expecting it to be!

I decided to forgo the cap for now since I'm only running 5-600w. I had one in an older system powering a 12W7 and wasn't all that impressed with the benefit.

If my car starts doing dumb **** like my HIDs cutting off or what not, I will go for one.

I used 4 gauge for power and ground and 8 gauge for speaker.

About time you chimed in! Super clean. What size are those? What are you using to push them?

May seem like a random question, but does anyone know the best type of screw to use for mounting a sub to its enclosure?

My 12W6v2 finally arrived just a few minutes ago but didn't come with screws (I don't know why I was expecting it to...), and I want to make sure I use a screw that is well-suited for this application.

Finally I have mine hooked up and running!!

Very happy I went with a sealed enclosure this time as opposed to a vented. A bit cleaner and more refined. Still get's a bit loose sometimes though, but I guess that's what you get with a 12-incher. (is that what she said?...eh, you be the judge)
