So guys i need some sub/amp help. i have 2 10" subs, here are the details on the subs: Kws-10 dual 4 ohm voice coil. 10" subwoofer 600 watts power handling 2.0" kapton voice coil 55 oz magnet 87 dB spl

Now the question is will any of these amps work?
1) Kole Audio QX4-960 960W Max, 4-Channel Amplifier
2) Kole Audio QX1-2400D 2400W Max, Class D Monoblock Amplifier

once again thanks for any feedback.

Kole Audio QX1-2400D will work, but its going to be putting out 1400RMS (700W per sub) when they only handle 200w. As long as you keep the amp turned down very low on the gain, should be fine.

Then does that mean the first amp choice with 960w will be short in power?

I wouldn't use the 4 channel for the subs, save it for front or rear speakers.

I'd stay away from Kole audio too btw..some friends have them..I'm not a fan.

this time next week, my car will have a 12 W7 in a ported box, fed by a kicker zx750.1 with a 938wrms birthsheet. I had a W7 12 in a trunk car, and it was NUTS. I am excited to see how loud this thing gets.

This is my SPL run, 4 years ago (PRE MEGA WEIGHT LOSS)

1 12W7, 1 Kicker ZX1000

Ordering a box from sub-thump and installing a Solo-Baric L7 12 I have. Will be running a kicker zx750.1 on it at 2ohm. Got a pioneer 4300ub i just ordered for it, good cheap deck. Thought about going with JL W7 but already have the ole Solo sitting the the closet.

The amp will only feed the W7 with ~704rms as the W7 is 3ohm, however that will still work nicely on a 12" since it is ported.

I have zx500.1, 634 birthsheet, putting ~476rms into a 10W7 ported as well. Thinking about switching to kenwood xr-s1 though is they are comparable to the jl hd750

Default 2011 TC No Trunk Space

I said screw it, if i need to carry anything which I rarely do I'll put it in the back seat. I have my 2 amps bolted on the back seat. The reason I do this is to ensure that with wiring stays intact. If you have the amps bolted to the back of the sub box you may run into 2 problems

1. The wires may come loose if the sub box moves. If you have a heavy box this probably won't happen. Some will argue to use longer wires, but then u have wires cluttered about and most people like a clean install.
2. The bass can rattle the amp screws free and then it detaches from the box.

The back seat of the scion tc 2 is easy enough drill in and secure your amps.

I have 2 amps, a distribution splitter and a capacitor bolted to my back seat.

Do all you folks with amps in the liftback area also have amps in the forward area, e.g., under the driver's seat, or anywhere else?

The 2011 TC comes with an amp under the drives seat from the factory. It powers the two bottom speakers in the front door. Its a small amp, not too much power. I you can wire amps under the seat. I choose not to do so to avoid the hassle of removing the seats and some amps may not fit under the seat depending on their size. Also I believe there is a floor vent under the seats that might get in the way

Get your windows tinted. Keep unwanted eyes off of it.

Looks good. I know with those ported boxes hit hard

Good call, already had the appointment for tint this week 35% on back glass, and 55% on front windows (legal limit). :? I also through a cargo cover over the box, interestingly it seemed to add some more kick by reducing the air space around subs, but maybe just me. they are hidden for sure now. Good looking out.

Getting my 10" Alpine Type R installed today in my ported Bassworx box. I don't listen to rap/hip-hop/pop so this is more than enough for me. Pounded my old Explorer, actually.

I'm taking to trip to NYC next weekend. The USA dealerships sell a rear cargo cover for $209 dollars. http://www.scion.com/#/tC-accessorie...or/cargo-cover
The Canadian dealerships still don't sell it. I will see how it sounds and looks with the cargo cover.

In my opinion all the TCs look good with tinted windows. I got mine in white and the I go the read windows tinted to match the roof and the front door 35%. I looks awesome when looking at it from above.

I have the cargo cover and it is a bit of a rip off at $200 trdsparks.com sells it for $125 which is alot more reasonable as it's very cheaply made.

http://www.toyotapartszone.com/oem/toyota~cover~assy~tonneau~64910-21070-B2.html

$121 Shipped

Same part # as the Scion 2011 TC which is 64910-21070-B2

Although with the damn 2012 tc issues addressed from Toyota... youd think they'd offer this thing to us 2011 tc owners for free.
