I've come up with 30x9.2x16 and a few other variations to get around 1.8 cu ft with the speaker displacement. The box I'm going to build will be a little different than the one in the pics. If anyone had the measurement for the sub-thump box i would appreciate it, would like to get as close to their measurements as i can.

Measurements for box design is right on Kicker's website. Single L7 shows:

Top Depth (in., cm) 14-11/16, 37.2
Bottom Depth (in., cm) 18, 45.7
Height (in., cm) 16, 40.6
Width (in., cm) 18-3/4, 47.5

Measurement for one of Their boxes, i want a box that looks like the one in the picture....their measurements will not fill up the back like this. I want it to fit snug behind the seat and stay under 1.95 cu ft.

Just needed the measurement of sub-thumps box design.

So you're only using 1 sub, but want to span the entire distance between wheels? I would just build the box to fit the way you want it, making sure total volume is greater than what you need, then just section off inside that box the volume you actually need.

Just went ahead and got the box directly from sub-thump.

A dash kit for a 2008 Scion XB fits perfectly in the 2011 TC. My sub box will be in tues and my amp will hopefully be in the same day or shortly after. Will put up some more pics when i finish it.

Could tell a difference before i had even adjusted the equalizer. Then after getting my eq set up it sounds like a totally different stereo.

Good to know. I have always preferred a Sony or Pioneer deck. They always seem to offer a cleaner, more powerful signal with excellent reception. Only H.U. that I have owned that was better was an Eclipse Fujitsu Ten ( I think that was the name). Never been a fan of Alpine. I do not care about the touch screen that much either.

I saw those style boxes but for the airspace i was wanting their was no way i could put it their. Getting 1.85 cu ft after sub dis-placement, wanted a minimum of 1.5 cu ft.

Going to run this set-up for maybe a year or two then I'm going to swap over to something else. Maybe a set of tens in the box like in your pic.

I have a kicker L7 12'' in a big ported box, built to kicker spec. I forget what those specs are. It's on a ZX750.1 and the amp is setup 100% properly (gains, crossover..)

the thing is loud. but not loud enough. GLWB..IMHO, you really REALLY need to port those things..

Have had 2-L712's in a ported box to spec on a zx1500.1 and while they were LOUD, it wasn't as clean as i have heard with sealed boxes. This was my system when i had my eclipse.

Don't need it to be heard for blocks around anymore, just want some clean bass while using a sub i already have. And while Solo-Baric is not known for its SQ they can be really clean with the right enclosure.

The box did not fit properly....as Steve (sub-thump owner) had told me.

Had to trim off about 1.5" off the right side to get it to fit correctly, still need to glue and staple the carpet back in place.

Even though the box did not fit correctly i am still happy with it. Will let everyone know about sound when my amp comes in.

*** Steve will be sending me a partial refund for me having to trim the box to fit....with me keeping the box, pretty nice of him.
