Arrow WeatherTech drivers side floor clips

Hey guys,

So I just picked up my WeatherTech mats today and I have a small question for those that have them.

The holes for the drivers side floor clips are pretty small and don't fit the stock clips. I didn't get any clips from WeatherTech but I did have the stock carpet mats and also have the all weather mats from the dealer.

And no I didn't have both carpet and all weathers on at the same time!

Are the hole suppose to be small? Do I just push them into the stock clips and force the holes to get bigger and accommodate the clips? Or do I need special smaller clips?

Thanks guys!

I have them. The stock clips slip through the punch outs in the mats. They will be a little snug but fit perfectly. If not check to make sure you have the correct mat for your car.

I know it's the right mat because it fits perfectly and covers everywhere.

It's just the holes for the clips that worry me. If I were to push them through and/or cut the hole to make it bigger then the clips can't turn to secure the mats like they do with the carpet

Try it. But proceed with caution. You can also go to your scion/toyota dealership and get new floor mat clips. Good luck.

I just got the weathertech and they definitely came with their own clips, I'd call em and they should send you a pair.

Alright so I contacted WeatherTech, several Toyota dealerships and the store I bought the WeatherTech mats from.

The store I bought the WeatherTech mats from were useless and just said I should talk to WeatherTech... Great customer service right?

The Toyota dealerships all say that the only floor clips they sell for all Toyota/Scion/Lexus vehicles are the ones I got. I can't seem to find a picture of it but I think it's called a "Positive retention clip". It has an upper and lower half where you need to turn the upper half of the clip once the hole in the mat slips into the clip, the result is a + shape hence the name.

The ones WeatherTech says I need are hooks but they can't seem to send me any and say I should be able to get it from my dealership? I'm hoping that the rep I spoke to didn't know what he was talking about... I'll call again tomorrow just to confirm.

I've attached a pic of what I think are the clips I need.
Anyone know if this is the part number: PT00206-00802?
If so I'll have to ask a Toyota dealership if they can order me one not sure if that part is available in Canada...

Grr so frustrating! I'm glad that the WeatherTech mats can't slide around because they fit nicely but still I want to be sure that they can't totally move.

Also any ideas on how to remove the floor clips?

TRD Sparks charges $21 shipping to get a $1 part up here.... No thanks

I'm hoping a piece of small plastic from the dealership will be less than $22 lol
Or maybe WeatherTech can get those to me for free!

if you can figure out how much shipping is from zip code 21218, I can send you some. I accidentally bought two pairs from them.

I walked into a Toyota dealership today and picked up the above hooks for $1 and got a service guy to show me how to remove the old ones.

They it perfectly with the WeatherTech mats.

I was so happy I bought a cabin air filter too!
