I doubt that it will auto lock once the key is out of range. most likely you would have to press the button (apparently inside the handle) to lock it.

question for those who has seen the RS 7.0 already. (ppl in canada)
does the door handle have any kind of button for keyless entry?
I assume proximity key means door handle button, so we can unlock/start the car without ever getting the key out of the pocket/purse.
But from the pictures I have seen, it does'nt look like there is a button to unlock the car.
I appreciate any input from those who has seen the car. thanks.

Its exactly like the new Lexus systems, all touch, no button.

But yea, the three grooves are all touch. If the battery dies there is a traditional key inside the remote that will open the doors and you hold the receiver against the push start an you can turn it on.
At least I have pictures!!!! Lol

Hey just to give a update, I just got off the phone with my dealer and my car will be there on Wednesday. I will e back in the state on Saturday, and I pick it up on Monday, August 29.
Oh and my car is number 9 out of 2200. :-)

got a call from my dealer today..... no RS 7.0 for me until 2nd or 3rd week of september.
PA is getting it this week, and NH is getting it this week, but why is boston not getting it until mid september?
Guess I have to adore my 05 tC for another 4-5 weeks

love this car. U look at the newer mods yet? I was thinkin about the Trd sway bars.

Haha im not sure lol. If the dealer says I can take it today (money won't be there till Monday) I am not sure if I will. If something happens to the car I would rather it happen when it is at the dealer and not in my driveway. But who knows we will see what this afternoon brings, I will update as soon as I know!
