Default 300hp Series 10 tC Dyno Run

Well, I guess technically it makes 295 horsepower at the wheels, but whatever. That's still pretty dang good. He's got the factory TRD exhaust on it, but he should be upgrading to a bigger, better flowing unit.

I wonder if he's on the site?

Where is the turbocharger located? I dont see the manifold
Is the manifold under the heat shield. Where is the intercooler. I want to see more picture of the kit..it look like a pretender. I dont believe it is turbo charge until i see more pictures

It is a custom setup and I heard he wanted to keep the car looking as stock as possible. So probably under the stock heatshield and a black intercooler. Regardless you didn't hear the spool and BOV? Lol I think the car speaks for itself whether or not it has a turbo.

The red thingamajig is a Tial wastegate. I'm curious as to how he mounted that turbo too actually. I'm thinking he's got it bottom mounted with the stock heat shield still attached to look stock.

header and spipe are 2.5 inch however after the cat it reduces to 2.0 inch. trd goes back up to 2.25 inch again

get the tsudo 2.5 inch catback and you'll free up some air to reach 300

I'd leave it the way it is and spend the rest of my money helping the car put the 300hp down more effectively.

shift mods
new lighter wheels with performance rubber
suspension
sways
LSD if I'm feeling frisky
stickers*

That will maintain the sleeper theme, keep the car from becoming annoyingly loud (which is why I sold my Tsudo) and make it more of a true driver's machine. It'll be able to truly compete with the STi's, G's, and Z's of the world with those parts.

why do you want stickers?

anyway would lightweight wheels create a safety concern? the stock wheels are super heavy and i don't like them but they are heavy for a reason - its so that they can handle the stress of anything you throw at them. lightweight wheels might compromise a little structure to shave weight. i'd be worried that my lightweight wheels would break even under normal driving if some rock cracks them and i don't notice it. i have seen and hear too many horror stories from evos and similar performance cars crashing because their rims failed. aftermarket, lightweight, it doesnt matter. its hard to tell if a wheel is quality or if its is just a cheap knockoff.

Stickers was just a joke lol.

But I can understand your concern. The issue with some lightweight wheels is that they are just cheaply made, as you said. If you look for a quality and reputable manufacturer, you won't need to worry as much. Brands like BBS, Enkei, Advan, etc are going to have light weight wheels that will hold up to normal wear and tear.

And never underestimate the impact light weight wheels will have on your car. Light weight wheels on a stock tC2 (or any low-power car) will turn it into a whole new animal.

i think ur confusing "lightweight wheels"

A forged wheels is lighter but stronger than your standard wheels (cast/alumnimun/alloy/stock/etc). So, if you go with a reputable company, pick from their forged wheels, then you wont have anything to worry about. For example, you can easily lift a Volk wheel with one hand, yet they are of the highest quality race/tack wheels you can find

This is in contrast to fake/replica wheels...which are companies that take designs from reputable companies, but do a half ___ job producing them. They cut back on quality of material, manufacturing, proper r&d/testing, etc...the result is a weaker wheel that is more prone to cracking/bending. Oh and FWIW, these wheels that tend to break due to stress are actually heavier than their real counterparts.

Reach out to Blackedout011TC. He is no longer a tC2 owner but still checks this forum. He had a set of Konig Milligrams. I believe those bad boys were ~19 lbs compared to the OE weight of ~27 lbs. He ranted and raved about what they did for his car.

A lot of people here are running XXR's, which are lighter as well...but I don't have as much faith in them considering their bargain price.
