well... 3mm is not a huge difference, but you generally wanna stay away from a higher offset. it means your wheels are sunken into the wheel wells 3mm more than the stock wheels.

Well do I have a greater chance of rubbing in further or sticking out the fender?

Yours are fine, if you are happy with them that is all that matters. The trend is to go wider on the wheel width and much lower offsets. +45 is about the highest you can go on this car, but width is also a factor. You will not have any issues when you drop the car. This car has huge fender wells. It amazes me how wide and such low offsets a lot of people are stuffing under this car. Check out the wheel forum, lots of good pics with specs and other info. Nice ride btw, welcome to the board!

But I don't want to look all ghetto. Can I adjust with spacers of needed?

Of course you can use spacers, just use a quality brand like Eibach. I am not a fan of bolt on spacers myself, but that is just me. There is a lot of cons that go along with them for the sake of a certain "look". They add weight, decrease turning radius and need to be retorqued fairly often. Go ahead and drop the car and seee what you think. I don't think "ghetto" is going to be an issue. Then if you are not happy, sell the wheels or trade them. I highly doubt spacers will make you happy in the long run. I have noticed most people on here that buy spacers end up selling them a few months later.

Being slightly more sunken than stock, your wheels will definitely fit with the lowering springs. And as Blackedout said, go with what you like. There will always be someone who will criticize what you do.

As for spacers, you can do that without much trouble. I have 20mm spacers all around. Ichibas in front and Eibachs in back. Here's what I've learned using spacers.
- Pay the extra for the Eibachs. I've had 2 lugs go loose on the Ichibas.
- Having the rear 5mm wider than the front gives an even appearance relative to the fenders.
- Rear spacers don't affect performance much, if at all, but fronts definitely do. I pulled off my front spacers for a race I had today, and my car was noticeably quicker 0-20mph and the brakes seemed to work with less effort.

I think the car looks much better with more flush wheels, but since I can't go wider than 7.5" wheels and I haven't found lightweight 18x7.5 +20 wheels, so I have spacers for daily driving. I will put my Ichiba spacers back on tomorrow, but they definitely affect performance. Eventually I will be buying 18x9.0 +35 wheels, but for now, spacers give me the look I want.

Good to know. I think I'll just deal with it. No show car here.

Can't wait to drop my springs in and lose some gap.

I run a 24 offset and it's just about flush with the car. I dropped a good 50lbs with my wheels.

Ya I plasti dipped the emblem and then covered the backings in carbon. I may try white carbon fiber and attempt to paint the scion lettering in white. Walmart has these nail polish pens that have a super fine tip. My gf uses a black one on her nails.

The clear may have been the key to yours. Mine are all plasti. Matte.
