Just ordered the redline goods door inserts, E-Brake boot and armrest cover with padding. All will match the shift boot. I also plan to get my door handles CF wrapped in yellow like MightyP did.

Today while driving I noticed between 3-4k the car makes a weird whining noise. I am not sure if it is coming from engine or transmission. It sounds like a quiet super charger whine. I have never heard it before and it seems to only happen when the car has been driven for a while. Is this normal? Does anyone else experience it?

Sounds like this:

Naaah man I know exactly what he's talking about. I get it too. Some days its louder than others. I notice it the most when I'm in manual shift mode with my auto.

Yeah I have chalked it up as being normal. Like I said before it comes and goes but I feel like when I DO hear it, I'm using manual mode. Mainly in 1st?

take it to the stealership and tell them your have an odd noise and you think its coming from the tranny i had a wierd wine and took it in first they said it was my front ball bearings then after fixing that they determined in fact i had a faulty transmission

(this is on my 2011 auto btw not the new manual)

Got the door inserts e-brake boot and armrest cover. I installed the armrest cover with the 6/8th" padding. I had to cut the leather and foam a bit to get it to fit but anyone could do that with ease. It's not perfect but it's pretty straight, good enough for me. the armrest does look taller with the padding but it's comfortable. I'll install the rest sometime later.

Can I still open the doors without the door panels in?

You can still use the doors without the side armrests in, but you need the door panel at least partially installed to use the door handle.

E-brake boot is in. Install was a bit confusing until I figured it out
