Yeah, it works for me. It's a slow car, there is no need to look racy if you can't deliver.

Default Round 3 (FIVE ADD-Ons)

Round 3 of my Blue Sleeper Project sponsored by DSPORT Magazine is done.
The job was performed February 3er at Longo Scion in El Monte CA.
Round 3 comprise some new clothes and rolling stock to improve the car stock appearing in preparation for the upcoming performance mods.
FIVE AXIS own by Troy Sumitomo help with the project with their FIVE AD kit constructed of polyurethane. pre painted in factory Nautical Blue to match the factory car color, consisting of 5 pieces:front lip spoiler, side skirts and rear bumper spats.
To complement the FIVE AD body kit, the stock 18x7.5 OEM factory wheels, been swap for a set of 19X8.5 FIVE AD RF:5 wheels in gunmetal finish wrapped in a set of Yokohama S Drive tires sized at 235/35/R19 all the way around.
I t took about 2 1/2 hours to perform the complete install.
The body kit quality, fitment and tolerances are absolutely fantastic, the pre paint color match parts are 100% accurate and the car looks has a significant improvement.
The wheel tire combo gives the car a mean look with a decent stance ( daily driver), but it delivers a better cornering grip and brake feeling .
Of a special mention I like to say the install been performed by Troy Sumitomo himself, quite significant considering his schedule and extremely busy agenda.
My sincere thanks to Troy and FIVE AD.
Round 4 is coming soon.
Here few pics of Round 3 parts installation.

with those tires you reduced the rolling diameter so now ur speedometer will read a bit 2 fast and your mpg will drop a tad bit however u will get to 0 to 60 quicker given that the tire/wheel combo weight the same or less

what offset are the wheels? +30 or +45? or u got 2 different offsets?

____ i want the front lip!

how is the ride quality? i assume it must suck

By far, the sexiest lip kit available. Also love the wheels and overall clean look!

Yeah, there is always a bit of a trade. The wheels offset are 45 all around.
The ride quality is surprisingly very nice, just a tad more of roadholding noise from the tires, but it's cornering and brakes better than the stock wheel/tires combo.

He actually did the entire install himself!
Yeah the Blue tC is mine, but you may seen the March issue where they have an editorial of the 2012 DSPORT project cars.
THere is more to come.
BTW the KJ will go after window tinting, otherwise I will need another one if I put it now.
Love is there, no worries

He is a very busy man as you may imagine.
He coordinated my car parts install with a TV commercial at the same location.
However it's sort of unique to have the FIVE AD parts installed by him, it can't be anything better than that!

I thought you contacted Five Axis and they told you the R5:F's were heavier than our stock wheels...

You are right, they are... but 202 was also considering my weight into the power to weight ratio, hence his statement...
